I went in to the dealer to get software updates for the ECU and infotainment system last week and on my way home, I lost my drivers display. Lotus US asked me to disconnect battery and discharge capacitors to attemp a fix at home. That didn't work, so went back today because dealer, Lotus US, and Lotus UK wanted to reload the software thinking it was corrupted. That also was unsuccessful. Now saying the dash has to come apart to replace the display, It's a First Edition version 2 with less than 3k miles delivered April 2024. Lotus is saying this has never happened before. Strange coincidence that this all occured imediately following the software update. Has anyone else had, or heard of a similar incident?? Not thrilled about having the dash taken apart!

Never heard of that before. Build date might be more helpful then delivery date. With CARB passing on 28 February 2024, a lot of cars were delivered in March/April/May of 2024.

It's under warranty, right?
Yes, it,s under waranty. Just strange that I was told I'm the one and only by Lotus US ....and even stranger that the car was flawless until the software was updated. It started only minutes after I drove away. I don't blame the dealer as I was right in the shop with him while he did the updates. Just odd!

Mine just died today. Working on getting a service appointment.

Admittedly a bit late to the game, sorry. I had the same issue. I picked up my car in Dec. 2024. First drive and suddenly the driver display went blank. Associated widget entries did not respond. Shut the car off and waited a bit and the display came back on, briefly. Took it back to the dealership and they had to replace a related module. Now, 6k+ miles later and thus far no issues on that count.

Similar. From new my driver display did not display the Navigation, Media, Phone and the Lap Timer (Performance) didn't work.
The Tyre Pressure (Vehicle Health) and Trip Computer displayed and worked fine.
I wasn't bothered at the time as I just wanted to drive the car and figured it was going to be a big job.
I also only ever had the tyre pressures displayed when I was driving.
A year and 6,000 miles on I had it looked at under warranty.
I went through a settings reset, and a software reload to check that first as modules can get out of synch to no avail.
My display wasn't replaced, it was the cable between the driver display and the main computer. A few things had to come out to get to this but it all went back in without being able to tell anything had happened.

Something just happened to my dash display today. Car is July 2024 build i4 (3k miles in). Was driving today and all of a sudden the middle toggleable information section (trip, tire pressure, media, etc) of the dash just disappeared. Weird thing is it flashes back momentarily if I switch drive mode (sport to tour etc.). Anyone had similar problem? Maybe its a trip to dealer to fix some module/cable (wonder if can be DIY)? Just found strange only a portion of the dash went out (see pics).

Interesting, the service manual just has the drivers display as one big "Instrument Pack" including the panels and all the electronics - so I assume the whole lot gets replaced and repairs on this aren't done; "No serviceable parts" so a loose cable may not be repaired by the dealer. There's no details if the display is just one panel or several, you would have thought three separate panels would be more expensive than a single one - large LCD/LED screens aren't that expensive these days. Let us know what the dealer says & does.

Mine did this the other day. The dash was on one second and out the next. Just the main dash display. Steering wheel controls didn’t work either and at least inside the car the turn signals weren’t working. Went home, turned off, got out, locked doors, and ten minutes later went back and turned car on and display was back. Car was super analog with no display. Kind of fun until I realized I had no fuel gauge…

Looks like most experienced the full driver dash black out but not the partial/middle section disappearing like mine. Going to start it up later to see if it magically fixes itself, or then another trip to the dealer it is.
