He DMed me proof, since I thought the same thing!Just noticed @anderon23 has vin 333? Is that one of the cars overseas? I figured these Chapman editions would all be 490-550. Never know though!

I’ve got a list that I was tracking (with help from ChatGPT) where the VINs were showing up. Mostly from dealer pages. Here’s the ones I found, that are missing from the tracker (the “1 of” means that dealer had more than one Chapman edition)
10500 - Fort Lauderdale
10503 - Beverly Hills (1 of 3) or Van Nuys CA
10509 - South Jordan UT
10513 - New London Connecticut
10514 - Naples (1 of 3)
10515 - Orlando
10519 - Las Vegas (2 of 2)
10520 - Austin
10523 - Washington DC
10525 - Manhattan
10529 - Bellevue WA
10532 - Redwood City CA (2 of 2)
10537 - Jacksonville FL
10538 - San Diego
10541 - Naples (2 of 3)
10543 - Long Island
...because we would ever know? It's Lotus, they struggle with just putting out basic production numbers. I doubt they would ever disclose detailed listings of vins that correspond to the dozens of "limited Editions" they regularly put out.Weird. I wonder if it was the original concept car given the lower number. Hopefully not an Aston Martin zagato situation where they produced extra beyond their claimed.
They used to keep those records and disclose them. You used to be able to buy a Certificate of Provenance from Lotus until very recently that gave all kinds of details about the cars - numbers of each model produced, in each colour, with each interior and spec. Recent cost cutting means this service is no longer available from Lotus - but it may be possible soon from one of the UK Lotus Owners groups and the assumption is that they will still have access to all the production details....because we would ever know? Certificate of Provenance
Is there any way to obtain a certificate of provenance from Lotus? From what I’ve read, Lotus closed their archives department in December 2025. Does anyone know if/when it might re-open?www.emiraforum.com
