Along with @Kaz , we are trying to fiddle with the car even more. You might have seen his AutoX Pro with his Fold7. I might as well post my fun experiment as well….lol.
I got the Carlinkit Tbox Max Android 13.0.

Coming from China, instructions werent super clear so struggled a little bit at first. Unit plugs into your USB B/C in your armrest for direct Carplay and takes about 20 seconds toboot up on screen.
Initially, I tried to use my OPPO Find N5 as a hotspot but BT wifi connection was somewhat unstable. So i got a sim card with unlimited data from Mint Mobile. Its $15/month for unlimited 5G data and can cancel anytime. The unit has a slot for a sim card so wifi connection is much more seamless using its own dedicated sim card as opposed to using my phone as a hotspot.
I can toggle between my phone’s Android Auto and the TBox Max UI on the Infotainment home screen. TBox Max has all the apps you need (you will have to download Prime Video and Tiktok if you want those). But there is access to Netflix, Prime, F1TV, Youtube, Spotify and basically anything available in the Google Play store.
Now my passengers can keep themselves entertained while riding.
