howdy everyone,

I’m really enjoying my Emira but want to fine-tune the alignment to get sharper turn-in and a heavier steering feel.

From what I’ve been reading, adjustments like front toe-out and more negative camber (within factory limits) might help. Before I take it to my shop, I’d like to hear how best to word the request so they know exactly what i want.

Has anyone tried:
  • Switching the front from factory toe-in to zero or slight toe-out?
  • Maxing out negative camber up front (around -1.3°)?
  • Dialing back rear toe-in from the factory setup?

I’d love to know how you explained these changes to your shop and what the real-world results were — especially in terms of steering weight, response, stability, and daily drivability... thanks

PS: Sorry I am new to the lingo and stuff above. I also have the sport suspension, but the Michelins.

What about kind of the opposite?

I would like less tramlining, less darting off the Centreline and more straight line stability at speed.

Would this just be the opposite of what the OP is asking?

As far as I know and what experience I've personally had with the Emira, front toe out will increase steering response off centre and not as in your post or the linked guide.
It's the challenge of using language that general people understand.

For a Delta position of the steering wheel, you will feel a smaller Delta of force being rendered by the wheel.

Does that increase responsiveness of the car (yaw per unit input force)? Or does it decrease responsiveness of the feedback (smaller wheel output force per yaw)

Just have to be careful about what articles and what signals we're talking about. But as we do that, the topic starts to drift away from what most people care about or follow.

Add a tiny amount of front toe in, increase your castor (you might have to sacrifice front camber to do this and this front end corner grip), increase rear toe-in. Personally I would not like this setup.
