Apple Car Play streaming issues

Anybody else having issues with streaming audio when connected to apple car play? I often have to listen to downloaded content when connected to car play. As soon as I disconnect wifi on iPhone, you tube functions fine again and streams live content. It does not ever work, but only rarely does when connected to the car. Thanks for any obvious pointers as to what the issue could be.

CarPlay connects to your car via Bluetooth and wifi. You cant use a wifi connection for data while connected, only mobile data will work

That is my issue, while on the road, it does not connect to the cellular data…..as soon as i turn off the wifi, I can stream again via cellular data connection
…basically severing the Emira wifi connection, gives me cellular data again, so weird.
Only in the Emira I have that issue. not in any of my other cars with various methods of apple carplay……

Ah got it.
Sounds like it tries to use the Emira network as data connection. I think there is a hotspot option in the setting, make sure that's no active. Also check if you have a known "Emira" network saved and forget that.
You could try a wired connection to quickly confirm if it's a pure data or carplay issue
