Any Ice Grey regrets?

Hey all, I think I’ve finally decided on Atlantis Blue for my order. I like Seneca but it’s a little too bold for me (I’m a bit of an introvert).

I saw the Meridian in person and it’s basically black unless the noon day sun is shining right on it.

I’ve always wanted a blue car since I’ve only had black, grays and whites.

So, now my dilemma is Ice gray or tan interior. I’ve seen pics of both online with the Atlantis blue. I’ve seen both in person on other colors and love them both. The tan was with Magma red and the ice grey was with the zinc grey exterior.

I felt like tan is more classy and ice is more sporty.

I’m leaning toward Ice but wanted to see if any of you have regrets or would you do it again?

I’ve heard some stories about jeans staining them? Any other potential concerns?

Are you a "clean" person or a "whatever" type person? I ask, because unless you are an exceptionally "clean" person, expect that incredible looking ice grey interior (specifically the driver's seat) to look like total shit in a few months.

There's a reason I have never owned a car with a light interior. It's because they all look like shit pretty quickly. Unless you are anal about wiping it down regularly and are ok with only wearing neutral colors that will never bleed (your body heat is in fact what makes heavily dyed denim bleed, and that goes for any "rich" color dye clothing), don't do it.

BTW, if you want real life examples, just go to cars. com and pull up any 1-2 year old cars (any make/model) with light grey/white interiors and see what they look like.

if you get ice grey definitely do ceramic coat on the interior. It works. I had pretty much the same color interior on my Audi and with ceramic coat had no issues keeping the interior clean. Everything wipes off, no color transfer.

Ice grey here. No regrets after just over a year and 7,000 miles. I really like the light and dark contrast it creates in the cabin.
I wear mainly blue jeans. I have just occasionally wiped them over with a damp cloth when I've noticed a build up of dirt.
Maybe my wife is washing my jeans more often than I thought.

No regrets here, Cosmos with Ice is a stunning combination!

I treated my interior with Gtechniq Leather Guard and the seats etc. wipe clean easily. I’d say I’m slightly conscious of wearing dark jeans etc. but I don’t obsess over it.

If nothing else, having a light interior encourages you to keep it clean, which is a good thing really!

Not had Ice grey, but was considering one when buying one.
Went to look at a 2nd hand car, and there was a noticeably dark patch on the the drivers seat, outside edge. Now I own one, I realise this is where you put your hand as you get in/out of the car.
I asked the dealer(It was a Lotus Main dealer) about it and they commented it was the best they could get it. Was enough for me to no longer consider it an option.

I chose Ice Grey Nappa for my Seneca Blue car with Full Blackpack, but it was going to be Red Nappa before I chickened out. I definitely did not want black, and the Tan Nappa was too traditional of a choice for me. I don't regret my decision at all. I am not super anal about cleanliness but I also don't allow my car to get very dirty (the wheels are a different matter). I have noticed the very slightest of stains or marks but they are so minor that I've actually forgotten about them until I saw this thread. I'm sure they would be very easy to clean up, though. In short, the seats look clean and white. I'm not sure why it's called Ice Grey when there's nothing grey about them.

P.S. I just checked out my seats and had to shine a light on them and look closely before seeing some very slight marks or stains.

Ice grey here, absolutely no regrets. Wouldn't have it any other way. Currently at 8000 miles and the interior is mint. Time will tell how it will maintain, but the leather lotus used seems of good quality - I believe this is an important factor in how it will wear.

I have had 2 recent cars with white leather interiors (Lexus LS460 and my Wife's Lexus RX350). Not all white interiors are created equal. My LS460 (120K miles) is VASTLY in better condition than my wife's RX350 (90k miles, has cracks/creases). There is a significant quality delta between the 2 interiors and a signficant delta in how they wear. Exactly the same maintanence regime. I do feel the leather in the Emira to be equal or better quality than my LS460, nothing like the RX350 which felt more pleathery.

I do not dress specifically for the cars (I wear blue jeans alot). I dont get significant color bleed through. But depending on what brand you wear, YMMV. If I see some from a passenger, I'll just wipe it down immediately and it's never been a problem.

Yes, it does require you to perform a bit more spot maintainence, but IMO, I would/should be doing the same with any color interior if I want them to wear well. Leather is leather and it needs to be maintained.

I'll assess the seats and arm rest areas when I wash the car. If it looks like its accumulated some dirt or "shade" I'll wipe it down with a leather cleaner on a microfiber towel and put some conditioner on it. I'll condition the leather regardless every other month. I use Leather Master products. Will be trying Gtechniq next.

TLDR: For me, having white interior is such a joy that it is worth the additional "spot" upkeep, but it really doesn't increase my overall maintainence much more compared to my cars with black leather. If it brings you a lot of joy, I say don't let that stop you. If you're indifferent, black would hide better.
