The UK site says this about the 2026 Emira. Do you think this means Keyless entry where you walk up to the car with the key fob in your pocket and the door unlocks? Or does keyless entry in the UK just mean that you can use a fob to unlock the doors (and not actually have to have a key?)

keyless entry is walking upto the car doing nothing other than having the key in your pocket and being able to open the car, at least in the UK thats my experience on previous cars ive had.

Thank you. That’s what it means here in the US for sure. I’m surprised nobody is talking about that for 2026 since it’s been a big ask on these forums.

Probably because we still have to fuss with the unorthodox door handles ....LOL

I wouldn’t get your hopes up. Keyless entry is a pretty generic term that has been used by different manufacturers to describe any lock that doesn’t require use of a traditional key. Fobs and keypads are also considered keyless entry systems.

That’s what I was afraid of. Fingers crossed. 🤞

Does the US have the same problem as the UK with car thieves outside the house/office grabbing the signal from your keyless entry key so that they can steal the car?
