Am I the only one who doesn’t want a Porsche…

Porsche does make a great car. The build quality and reliability is also excellent. Add on top a class leading performance package and it is the go-to car for a lot of people.

If the look and exclusivity of the Emira does not mean much to you, buy the Porsche.

Or do what I’m doing, turn a Spyder and a Tesla into a Taycan and an Emira.

Cayman was the only mid-engine option in my price range and I'd looked into a few on and off since 2012. Eight stagnant years of the same one option. Then BOOM 2 new players join the chat--Emira and C8--and they actually excite me. Porsche is no longer a consideration. Good times.

I've never felt any attraction to Porsches. The only exception was the 917K LeMans, car, but that wasn't something I was going to be able to buy. Even if I could, it's not exactly a street car.
