This is my first car on this level and I’m having a blast
My car journey for context:
That’s my short experience so far. I’ve been driving the car for a few months now and have about 1500 miles on it. Mostly loving it!
My car journey for context:
- EP3 Civic Si from 2003-2014
- 2006 Tacoma SR5 4x4 manual 4-cyl 2014-2021
- 2021 Model 3 performance 2021-2024
- 2022 Tacoma TRD Off-road manual
- 2024 Emira FE V6 Manual - purchased Nov 2024, started driving it March 2025
- Steering wheel shape is awful. Should just be round. It doesn’t make it feel special, just makes it worse
- Fuel cutoff at redline is unacceptable IMO. Coming from the Honda world, where you can slam against the redline, the Emira is jarring
- Reliability hasn’t been great. Have a strange issue with cold starts on sunny days
- Seats aren’t the best
- Wish it had a real handbrake
- The car gets too much attention. Wasn’t really prepared for this.
- Canyon driving is awesome. This is why I bought the car and it excels
- Perfect size, balance, power, etc
- Steering feel
- Throttle, pedals, heal/toe blips, shifting are all fantastic
- Sounds great (3rd cat delete)
- Ride quality is good. Not too stiff and not too soft
- The car is stunning. Still can’t believe I own a car that looks like this. Gets lots of positive attention
