Back in the game with my second Emira,
Boy have I missed them.

After the woeful start as an early recipient with one of the first few that came off the line, I have always been eager to get another, hoping that the customer service has now improved l,but shock horror the lies started immediately on collection

I saw the ad on autotrader, quoting 3450 miles, the invoice stated the same.
After a deposit and a 2hr 30m drive to Lotus Endeavour Colchester I was excited to pick the car up.

The first thing I noticed was the poor state of the Valet, even the sales gent said theybwould have to have words,
Water marks all down the doors, interior uncleaned, pen mark on the chair(which he kindly removed after),smudges all over the piano black...

But the worst thing was the mileage, sold as 3450 miles,i was shocked to see it just over 6800!!!!Double what was advertised.

Almost walking away, they claimed to have no idea how they got it so wrong...
I was determined to have the car, so they knocked another £500 off,not ideal but it was the only one in the parking lot without paint bubbles also.

So not a great start to another relationship but the car drove flawlessly, and that's what matters to me.

So just a note to those buying from a dealer, especially Colchester, ask them to confirm the mileage.

I've got a special livery planned for this one, I'll post a new thread once it begins

Happy to be back

I was told by Colchester that my car would be “professionally valeted” after my warranty work was completed. When I picked it up, the outside looked like it had been cleaned about a fortnight ago at best. The interior was relatively OK. However, there were swirl marks on the paint. Admittedly they were quite light, and I removed them with a DA polisher in around 10 minutes, but certainly not “professionally valeted”. My car goes back to them for further warranty work in around 4 weeks, it’ll have a big sign on the dashboard saying “Do not clean” when it goes in!

Shocking how far out the mileage was on your car.either they cannot read or someone used it after the advert was published.

That is extraordinary. I would be absolutely furious.
It’s a shame you couldn’t walk away.

That said, it looks great. Good luck!

Have the same livery with silver calipers………interested in you “special livery” update

Wow that's some mileage discrepancy.
The silver lining is that hopefully most of the warranty issues have surfaced and been fixed over that sort of milage. Do you know if previous paint issues have been fixed? Or if it's seemingly never had any?

Glad to see your back... and in Nimbus! Crazy on the mileage situation. As long has it runs flawlessly, that will matter more. Enjoy!

Yes they have,so this softened the blow as I was considering another model there, but all of them had paint issues bar this one.

Welcome back to the fold! Looking forward to seeing what you've got up your sleeve for this time around :D

500 quid seems a bit stingy for such a mileage discrepancy... hopefully those weren't test drive miles 😑

I don't think I've ever had a car dealer valet that I was impressed with (and plenty that I was highly unimpressed with). Definitely in the "don't wash it please" camp.
