2026 New Front Sensor.

The sensor looks ugly, but what's even worse is that these nagging systems destroy any fun while driving. They're mandated in the EU now and "soft" mandated in the US, so this is the future of all cars.

One way to bypass the nanny devices is to install a memory module. It's available for Porsches but I have yet to see one for Lotus. The memory module keeps your last settings so the nannies stop defaulting on every time the car is started.

Don't worry about it's looks. The front license plate will totally block it :)
Just reminded again of how lucky I am to live here in a state not anal on the front plates.
Just lucky....or I'd have to move.:giggle: IMG_0575.webp

You'd think having a front plate in the factory installed position was enough, but in NYC because the plate position is not 12 inches off the ground, I got a ticket 😤

Wow that sucks. Some things never change... chasing down criminals is evidently much less fun, not to mention profitable, for NYC Police than ticketing for such idiotic rules (this coming from a native New Yorker myself). Did you mod the plate bracket in any way or is it held with the OEM bracket? I presume each state/municipality can apply its own rules and Lotus can't possibly be expected to comply with each and all of them. In Florida that's one rule we don't have to contend with since we don't have front plates to begin with.

Don't we all have the ACC button on our steering wheel but it does literally nothing because its not on the "older" models?
My Owners' manual (V6 Auto) 100% mentioned ACC like it was actually fitted on the car; just like Cryptovince's screenshot.

TBH the manufacturer can add all the ADAS that they want... As long as I have the option to disable it.
My family have the "lane change Assist" enable on their car and it drives my crazy...

I don't see what's the issue here. It's really not that bad.
I agree with you that its "not that bad". But weird that people that ordered the car wasn't previously inform about a obvious body modification.
People should know and be inform about what they buy; even more when its that expensive... We all have different taste and it might be a buzzkill for some.

Hmm weird that it’s in the v6. If you look at the configuration page between i4 and v6, the thing that is missing on the v6 for the co-driver extended package is this:
  • Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with stop and go
I would have thought that front radar is only used for adaptive cruise control.

Looks a bit ugly. Also looks like some front numberplate configurations might block it.
