Emira Fanatic
Great day and great venue on Coronado Island yesterday for British Car Day, put on by the San Diego British Car Club. Cars meticulously arranged on the lawn by marque and by "classic" and "modern" and voted on. This year it was a salute to Triumph (last year it was Aston Martin) so a significant number of TR-3s, 4s, 6s, Stags, and Spitfires and one crazy 1947 Triumph 1800 (have never seen one of these before).
For Lotus, I counted 10 total: 4 Emiras (Seneca Blue (mine), Magma, Yellow, and Yellow w/Stealth wrap). All V6 manual with the exeception of the stealth yellow which was V6 auto. All first editions with the exception of the Magma. In addition there was a nice Elise (kicking myself, no pics), 3 really nice Esprits, an Evora in JPS livery, and a bonkers V6 Exige Cup car with RHD. I think this last one took first place in the voting in the "modern" class.
Some great conversations with fellow Lotus owners and enthusiasts and many others, and overall a very enjoyable day, and completely devoid of idiots. These are the events I relish!
