Since JB is working on an OBD connection in the engine bay, I'm planning on just temporarily running the cable through the interior alongside the seat instead of under the carpet and all that. This will be fine until they come up with the setup for the engine bay, then I'll switch over to that.
Improving airflow in and reducing exhaust back pressure to allow better exhaust airflow out. It makes a difference. The factory intake and exhaust system is fairly restrictive, as factory systems typically are.
The JB4 test car wasn't factory stock, so the baseline run was for that car not a factory stock car. I had mine dynoed stone stock on a hub dyno, and it showed 369.6 hp to the rear wheels. That translates to a drivetrain loss of 7.6%, assuming the engine hp is actually 400. This is a V6 with...
Try putting the line as an extension of the light, including trimming it to the angle of the lens as though it's an extension of it (only without the red top lol).
Have as many conditions as you can to help troubleshoot (are you only connected wireless or do you have the OBDII cable connected, what octane fuel are you using, V6 manual or auto, etc.) and contact Burger: Payam@burgertuning.com
What width stripe did you use on the mirrors? I've struggled with wanting to do something, but not coming up with anything I really liked, especially for the back of the car. Looks like you got a pretty good match to the Lotus logo yellow. I'd like to do something with the mirrors, but I...
Well crud. When I was there for the grand opening, they didn't mention that. I didn't think to ask either, just assumed it would be. If they're going to sell Lotus there though, I think they have to have a service department as part of the requirement for authorization. I'll ask my sales guy...
If you have an ACE Hardware store nearby, take that to them. They can at least tell you what the specs and thread pitch are. They may even have something like that. Another place to check would be a body repair shop. They probably have a source where they can get items of that type...
I found out something interesting the other day. I'd gone through a drive-thru to get a breakfast burrito, and they wanted me to pull around to the front and wait because it was going to take longer than normal I guess, so I did. While I'm sitting there waiting with the engine off, I turn on...
I'm not sure which bolt you're referring to. Can you take a picture of where it's supposed to be? I'll look on my car and see if I can identify it. Part of the problem with finding anything in the service manual, is knowing exactly what it's called. The description/term has to be exact.
His first and last name and address were fully visible in the first version of the picture he posted. Randomly looking up a name and address in a phone book, is not the same as seeing a full name and address being posted where you know for sure there's at least one expensive sports car there.
After looking at that picture KJD posted (who apparently has me on ignore, which is fine), it doesn't look like there's an adjustment if the fender merely slides into tabs on the upper fender. I am able to push in the lower corner on mine, and it goes in flush with the upper for a few seconds...
It can look good in some instances, if it's the good looking stuff. I don't like the particle board look. The real benefit is its strength and weight for those applications where it's appropriate. It's just expensive, but if you have the budget...
Do you have any mods on your car, like intake and/or exhaust? The AFR is running on the rich side, which I was wondering if that's by design, or just that your ECU hasn't adjusted to it yet.
The V6 FE has a curb weight of approximately 3,267 lbs as per @Dragoon who weighed his stock on a race scale. The Eventuri is 1/2 lb lighter, and if you got the Aerie titanium exhaust, that's 18.25 lbs lighter than stock. So figure your car is roughly 19 lbs lighter, so a curb weight of 3,248...
They are unless it's part of the base model being sold. A CF Emira is going to be expensive, which means more expensive licensing and insurance right up front. For those that can afford it great, but that's a much smaller segment of the marketplace than the Emira FE reached.
There's also the...
The cost to weight savings advantage on a street car isn't really that good, unless you're replacing a large and heavy body panel. For the Emira, the one area I think would benefit the most from carbon fiber would be the rear hatch, although I don't know how heavy that piece of glass is...
I don't know that people would necessarily. The new price for the car as-is is £96,500. If they keep pushing it too far up in price, they'll go back to Evora sales numbers, which weren't enough to keep them in business. Chevy found out the hard way, that just because Camaro owners spent money...
I can't speak to the other two since I only have the Eventuri. When GRP did their dyno test day, they were switching them back-to-back-to-back, which showed virtually no difference from stock, and hardly any difference between the different intakes. I think that was because the ECU didn't have...
The racing line looks like what I and others did on their FE's, with the exception of the top of the side mirrors being colored. I think it would have looked better with a racing line on the side of the mirror. The interior looks nice though.
Nothing on prices... The red seatbelts look nice. Don't care for the wheels, too gimmicky. Looks like the badges are black now, no more yellow. Interesting.
