Another option is M-chanics in Mineola LI, George the owner works on all my cars. They have already worked on Emira’s. Probably less expensive than the dealer. He does a lot of race prep & track support as well.
Yup, Just happened to me also. I was not driving, just sat in car to retrieve an item. I pushed it back in. I thought it was a one-off.
Moving forward, I will be more cautious.
I just slide my finger under the cover & push button, it's a nothing thing. The cover is a good idea so you do not accidently push/hit while driving though
I owned a 993 for 10 years, truly loved build quality & intimate interior. However @ 282 hp it is really down on power. I considered a 993 Turbo, but the price are completely out of hand. I am just not comfortable driving a 200K car & always having to worry about it when using it.

I have yellow calipers too. I had my wheels & calipers ceramic coated. I washed my car for the 1st time this past weekend after 500 miles. Wheels & calipers came clean with minimal effort. I suggest you have this done. It will save you a lot of elbow grease.
Replaced nothing. Added. BMW Z8, 1M
Now have supercharged, turbo & NA
Car from every decade from 2000.
All drive so different. Emira getting all the love now.
Same low 1500's air conditioner issue since day 1. Parts are at dealer. Took a week to get. Car currently getting PPF. Dropping off at end of this week. Will report back upon repair
Hi everyone on this thread, Just left the USA/Canada delivery thread as took delivery yesterday. AC gave up with salesperson in car when going over everything. I made it a point to fiddle with AC first based on what I read here.
Chief mechanic hooked up OBD & no codes showed up. I told him...
Well fellow Emira enthusiasts, it is time to bid farewell to this thread & all 611 pages as I took delivery of my DV Emira yesterday. Of course it was with a hitch as the AC worked with my salesperson in car for a millisecond before it gave up. Needless to say, they were embarrassed. I took car...
How so? Anyone with a brain will factor the BaT fee & transport needs in their bid. Much less risk buying a new car with warranty than buying someone's old car. If I was bidding on used car , would factor in some repair costs as any used car has needs.
My car has been in port since 4/6. Dealer is getting a few cars days apart. How can this be an effective method of delivering cars with a few cars dropped off at each dealer? Would it not make more sense that if there are enough cars to fill a carrier for a dealer, deliver them all instead of...
I stopped by to inquire about my car on 4/6 boat. Saw your car. Never saw DV in person. I have almost exact spec but DC wheels. Stunning, paint looks great
I was going to go Magma, but I decided that I did not want to explain to everyone, No, its not a Ferrari. So I passed on Magma.
Great color, but I did not want to deal with the F car comments.
Just received an email saying my car is on the water. Dealer is not sure which port it is coming into. BUT he said it will be 1st transported to the Lotus Baltimore facility to be prepped & then transported to dealer. So what I infer is that regardless of which port it arrives, it still needs...
