What car is more beautiful than an Emira?

Wish the F355 wasn't a maintenance hog, or I'd be driving one right now.
Don’t believe everything you read online.

I had mine for 12 years and apart from one significant issue (which had more to do with an inability to properly diagnose the problem than anything else) it was very reliable.

Like any old Italian supercar, if you buy a poorly maintained shit-box you can expect a nightmare.
Buy a good one and look after it properly and it’ll be fine.

I miss it, but the Emira is a worthy replacement.

Maserati MC20 Cielo is a worthy rival. Mixed reviews on the transmission and sound but the doors go up, lol.

In terms of modern cars I agree (coupe or cielo, they’re both stunning). The styling isn’t overly aggressive and has a slightly feminine look which makes it genuinely beautiful to me.

Perhaps we should consider the age of the car when comparing against the Emira. Going against old established classics like the Miura, Dino, E-type, etc. is a tall order for a modern car. So what "modern" car is more beautiful? And what constitutes "modern"? My personal cutoff for modern would probably be around 1990 or so, but I have younger car friends who weren't even born then. Now if I consider only contemporaries of the Emira, I personally can't think of a more beautiful yet attainable car right now, and it was one of the main reasons I put down my money for one.

And also in the eye of the beholder!
There’s definitely this! Also, there’s lots of cars that I like that I wouldn’t categorize as “beautiful.” For instance one member posted the original NSX and while obviously significant in the car universe I’ve never been a fan of its looks. Similarly some cars that I find outstanding have very edgy aggressive and more “manly” looks that I still like but wouldn’t necessarily call beautiful. Semantics I guess. Just off the cuff, Lancia Stratos, Alfa GTV, Carrera GT, maybe even the Viper. So when I think of “beauty”, as I guy I’m thinking of the more swoopy curvy feminine shapes that we get with the Emira and cars like it, while still having a touch of aggressiveness to remind you this is a serious sports car. Another one just came to mind as I was writing. The Talbot Lago. Ok, so it’s old and probably not universally attractive but when I saw it at Pebble Beach in person I thought it was a really sexy design for the period it came out.

I'm adding to my post above, although I expect I could go on and on and on...

Back in the day, I fell in love with a BMW Z8 Roadster and paid many visits to my local dealer, just to look at it. Luciddaydream mentioned above that the rear end of the Emira could be improved. I'm a huge "rear end fan" (not just vehicles) and don't mind the Emira but I was completely smitten at the time, by the Z8 contours. I'm surprised to see their current asking prices, given what they were selling for originally although they're not a common vehicle: less than 6,000 were built during their 2000 to 2003 production years. If only I'd bought it back then...

netsinah,
Great minds think alike. It will be 15 years since I acquired my Z8. Now the Emira gets more seat time. Both are beautiful in their own way. One day I may tire of the Emira, never the Z8

Im just going to use this post to point out a car I dont think gets enough love. I think the Islero is a gorgeous car. The attachd picture is of Ferruccio's own Islero he had made to match a boat he bought around the same time. Its an amazing spec.

The part in bold is what I was getting at upthread when I mentioned the MC20. I really like the look of most supercars to be honest, but things like the Aventador aren’t beautiful in my opinion. It’s extremely impressive to look at, but in an aggressive, purposeful way as you say.

Beauty doesn’t have to be that expensive. My Emira’s stable mate is a TVR Tuscan. Was meant to be sold when the Emira arrived but couldn’t part with it
