I do hear a noise that I'd characterize in the realm of tapping/pinging but it's not getting more severe under higher loads and higher revs. If there's something actually wrong, I'm sure it'll let me know in more ways than one.
Both my OBDii readers work with the Emira. Veepeak and OBDLink MX+. OBD Fusion and OBDLink apps respectively. Not all apps work with each scanner due to different protocols.
They'll also link out to some potentially helpful information:
keen to hear more about those 1.11.
for @Neb , the uneven pad wear and taper has a lot of potential contributing factors but ultimately its not uncommon to have a pad that can hold up - relatively speaking - but wear fast and unevenly. the BRZ and GR Corolla and GR Supra are cars that I have...
Hi all! 2,000 miles in and I think the car is finally broken in with it's first CEL! (long post but I figure some details might matter)
I picked up my car in February 2025 and it's had a few known issues: intermittent turn signal hyper flash, e-brake no longer automatically releasing, telematics...
FWIW, a number of us did have noise on the OEM factory pads - mine are Brembos and usually in the hotter conditions you mentioned. Hawk Ceramics have also been reported to make noise under certain conditions, mine also make noise sometimes at a certain temperature range. I find doing a very firm...
I'm a bit sad to say, to me, it gets rid of the turbo flutter. Or it overwhelms it to the point that I personally cannot hear it anymore. I think the flutter noise (which may not be as productive) is a lot more pleasing and characterful than a loud psshhhh - which reminds me a bit more of a...
this is the modern dealership way. I won't go as far to say it's all unfounded and unreasonable though. mostly they are tied to 'the book' (including book hours) and a fixed way of diagnosing issues so a dealer who is not willing to be more helpful will always blame the mods first. you can try a...
yeah if you aren't able to let the car really cool down a lot before shutting it down, it'll keep running things - which is good for the car, bad for the battery. Of course in the summer if it's hot out like how it probably is now, I could imagine these things running for an hour or until...
Thanks for the detailed write-up and information. It roughly aligns to my battery tester that I have used after drives, after parking for a week, and after charger use. Depending on how long the pumps and the multiple fans run after you park the car, that can further drain the battery - I've had...
Thanks! I still plan to do analyses after an oil change and am wondering if you have done an oil analysis after any of these events? I don't have a reason to be concerned but sadly few Emiras (of any powertrain) get driven hard on local tracks, so any info helps!
Also look forward to your pad...
Dang, hope you can catch the code next time if it happens again. I plan to be out at Laguna later this year and will see if I run into issues - I am also more familiar with that track.
By the way are you still using 0W20 oil?
Congratulations!
Cannot help you with #1, but #2 there is no app connectivity with the Emira, it is not a supported car in the Lotus app; that app is mainly for their EV cars.
#3 - keep doing it.
Thanks for sharing your feedback. It's curious that the car did not have the issue at BW Circuit - it was far warmer and many long acceleration zones.
I didn't want to bother you that day because I know you were dealing with a tire situation. Also, a big congratulations if I am making the...
I think they are the same if the part references are right.

Among all the potential issues the Emira has - across all variants - I think it's important to drive and enjoy them as much as possible in the first year or two of ownership. Not that you should stop afterwards, but it seems, so far, most issues present themselves within the first few thousand...
Totally understood on the theory and not judging in a vacuum based on one factor, but I cannot ignore what I've observed between driving Cayman, 911 and Emira when they exceed their grip limits - as subjective as that might be. I'd keep a more open mind in either direction as a benefit for...
I'm sure others have had experiences like I have (perhaps a lot more), for certain cars their stock suspension can have smaller performance envelopes when it comes to putting on tires with a lot more grip. The LTS spec Cup 2 is a 240TW variant - aka Cup 2 Connect - and already feels like it can...
love to see these Emiras on track - no matter how many times I watch a lap around RA, I keep forgetting how much speed you can build on the back straight.
100 mile update. dust is low, bite for normal and lightly spirited street driving feels right for the amount of pedal pressure, harder driving or panic stops do require a decent bit more pedal pressure than I'd like. noise is very few and far between and might be getting better as the pad and...
Setup and test devices at home before going out - Dragy and Dragy Pro - charge em up, open the app and go (as you've now discovered). Odd to not open the app, but just stare at the hardware wondering how it turns on.
Google or Apple Maps alternatives? iOS settings rabbit hole and resetting...
Got the Hawks in the car last night, street bedded them in today on a short drive. I like them and even with the bedding process the dust was minimal. The initial bite is grabby - in between EBC Blue NDX and OEM Brembos I had. Since this is a pad slap I cannot attribute brake noise to only the...
