This my number point on this …. I want to save a few bucks just like the next guy but Lithuim battery fires are SCARY and too common. I’d rather spend much more on a solid product that has protection from thermal runaway
Really spent some time trying to find a track bad that was better than the OEM pads, but not too aggressive as I’m not a track junkie. I looked at RP1s but looked like they still overwhelm the tires and probably overkill for me. EBC blue don’t seem to get good reviews. Called the dealer to get...
Just did a brake fluid flush using a motiv pressure bleeder on the Emira (first time ever on a car actually. It was actually pretty easy including the clutch and both sides of the caliper.
Things to note - it was hard for me to get a flared wrench to fit in the inner nipple so also had to have...
Sweet freaking wing! I thought JUBU said there was no cutting involved Or just not cutting visible parts? Was there a black plastic part you remove, cut the panel and install the wing?
What’s the deal trying to be had here? Those things have been out of stock for a while and now and I’d imagine will continue to be so. If I wanted them quickly I’d order them even if they are used
I was considering the RP 1 pads for an occasional track day. Do you recommend an alternative? Not a track junkie at all. but I also don’t want to ruin my new ceramic pads so am interested in what track pads make sense.
Yep. See part number here. You can give that part number to your dealer and they’ll order it for like $40. Or just order it from bell & covill in the UK.
Mine actually broke twice I absolutely hate that design. Once you un clip it it’s impossible to clip back on without breaking the little...
I got these shoes cause they look really good and I can wear to work. The blue suede is super nice.

Silly question, would it possible to drill drain holes at the bottom of the door yourself? (Taking steps to make sure the holes don’t rust lol)
Years ago I had a Jeep TJ that was notorious for collecting water on the frame and owners were drilling small holes in the frame so the water could...
Yes it increases the cabin noise for sure. But, many folks feel like it’s the perfect amount of noise for a sports car. Loud enough without being obnoxious.
And yes that’s the drawback. Because it’s louder it takes away from the super charger whine. You can still hear it, just less than before
Yeah I get that from time to time too. When I press the source button to switch back to my iPhone it’ll just toggle through am AM/FM. I need to turn the car off and open the door to deactivate the CarPlay and then I start the car again and it’s normal. Definitely a bug and hoping an upcoming...
Hell yeah it can be done on ramps. I’ve done 2 oil changes on the Emira thus far.
Make sure you get that angled funnel too. Makes it so much easier to pour in the new oil
Yeah that’s right. To be clear too, it was tight fit on my Evora GT. No idea if the battery tray is exactly the same for the Emira. Assuming yes given the rest of the car though
Not impossible just very tight. The most annoying part was when I had to do work on the car, you can’t just disconnect the negative terminal as it’s too tight. You need to unbolt the tray the battery it sits on etc
How did this work out for you, did you bleed the clutch first before the brakes?
I’ve been reading up on this and it looks like in earlier Evoras you needed to access the nipple from underneath and was a complete pain. Seems like this is as easy as reaching into the engine compartment...
Installed these pads a few hundred miles ago and they are legit. They have a progressive brake feel, definitely less grabby and much less dust than the OEM pads.
Omg this topic again. One day it’s v6 discontinued I’ve been told by a reliable source and the next day someone says they heard the opposite from their reliable source. Then lotus dealers release communication that is completely different and no one knows what happening. It’s crazy really
