This is exactly what happens to me. I've tried putting the fob in the center console section where the fob is supposed to go, and that didn't change anything. Definitely feels like something associated with the immobilizer / key recognition.

I'm driving almost exclusively in sport - I'm trying to generally keep to the 4k limit, with occasional bursts of higher. Haven't redlined it yet, but the true crime is restricting the pure bliss of engine noise above 4k for the first 1000 miles. Torture.

Honestly, not bad. I'm also used to driving a Miata with re71rs and a track alignment though, so a little "tramlining" is a bit normal to me. I also wasn't pushing it too hard. Seemed fine to me /shrug
