Just a heads up gor those thinking light leather.....white, tan....blue jeans can stain them. I like the look of the tan interior. Not sure if tan seats would look good with the Seneca blue exterior.

I think leather is much easier to take care of than Alcantara. If you spill anything on leather you can simply wipe it up, not so with Alcantara. Plus Alcantara can get all matted down, especially the steering wheel. Also leather does not absorb odors, not sure about Alcantara. I'm going...

Thanks Tom. Wouldn't base edition folks be contacted much later since production for these cars won't start until 2023 at the earliest.

Does anyone know how long after you make your initial deposit that you will be contacted to decide on your options? I guess since I'm getting the base edition, I won't hear anything for some time. It would be nice just to get a confirmation that I will be getting a car.

What's the next step after you get a submission ID? So any idea what are the chances are that I'll get an allocation? I'm like 43 on the list.

Thanks for posting these pics. The car does look much different outside compared to the pics in the showroom with strong lighting. Zooming in I was able to locate the backup camera. Now I have the very long wait.

Yeah I thought about doing that but sometimes it's just more convenient to pull straight in. I've seen on Amazon front-facing cameras I might just end up getting one of those. It would be great if you could tie in a front camera with the cars large display.

After looking at the design of the Emira I thought it would be a great idea for Lotus to include a front camera so when you're pulling into parking spots you don't hit the front end on those concrete parking blocks. I just read the specs and it said the Emira comes with front parking sensors...

I would guess that figure is probably closer to 90%, at least here in North America.

I hope your joking about the cloth interior. Paying over $100,000 for a car you would expect a nice leather interior. I just hope the base seats are full leather, and not leather with Alcantara or other fabric inserts. If so I hope they offer a no cost option for full leather, like Porsche does...
