An observation. I am curious to why the JB4 only has two points of data if not using the OBD2. It uses the manifold pressure boost one and the boost pressure off the intercooler. While the TDI unit uses both of those sensors plus cam sensor or RPM sensor. I wonder how JB4 gets its cam/RPM...

The car ran very smooth on the E30 map but it did seem to run about 7° warmer but I still have to confirm that. No check engine lights.

I'm aware, it's not e85 it's basically E30. I blended e85 with 93. 93 already comes with 10% ethanol so I basically added another 20% for a total of 30%. I have an app that works out all the math. I'm not going to use it all the time

3 sensors, the one on the intercooler (yes, the hard to reach one), the cam shaft/rpm sensor, and Manifold sensor (fire wall). Interestingly the JP4 doesn't use the sensor for the RPM/cam sensor like the TDI did. So basically, if you're not using the OBD2 connection it's not getting rpm...

I can tell you now, most and including myself not too thrilled with the idea of splicing into my ECU harness.

I just downloaded the e85 calculator app. Pretty cool app and calculates exactly how to reach E30 from various premium pump gas. I want all the juice lol

This is what I did as per TDI instructions. I had a small breaker bar to help push the pully out of the way. I couldn't do it with the wrench alone. I detached the compressor, removed the belt and pry the pully over. Reached in and grabbed the sensor plug. It's tight but just breathe and take...

Very confusing, there is one email sent to a customer from JB4 saying that map2 can be selected but will not be activated nor can other modes but map 1 without the OBD2 connection.
