Wow the starting price converted to U.S. dollars is $131k and that's before the tariff!

Nothing on prices... The red seatbelts look nice. Don't care for the wheels, too gimmicky. Looks like the badges are black now, no more yellow. Interesting.

Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

Unless I misread it, doesn't the OBD connection enable it to work with the ECU and make adjustments on-the-fly to your car? Obviously it's a hassle to run the connection, but you only have to do that once, and the benefit of live tuning as conditions change seems like it would be worth it. On...

Eventuri Intake and minor seat mod

The sound is of course amazing, but you really only notice it if the window is open. Performance-wise there's a definite overall improvement. It's not OMG huge, the car just feels stronger when accelerating. Give it about 100 miles for the ECU to adjust to it.

Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

What I would expect it to do is what I saw with the Aerie Titanium exhaust, which was an increase in torque at the lower rpms. There's obviously a fair amount of back pressure from the 3rd cat and factory muffler that restricts power. Removing that should improve things, especially torque.

There is the possibility that they simply didn't think of doing what JB did. Or they could have wanted to sell parts too, or were worried about warranty issues, etc. Who knows.

What is it clipped to? Are there clips that hold it to the upper fender?

How to adjust rear bumper ?

Mine does the same thing; flush on the left side of the car, slightly sticking out on the right side. I was planning on looking into adjusting this when I put the CCB rotors in, and remove the wheel well liners to look at putting some sound dampening on them. I don't know if it's the lower...

    📓 Journals Pushing Limits

You might want to look into improved air ducts to the front brakes to help with the cooling. I know RB has their "Big Brake" upgrades for other cars where you go from 4 pot to 6 pot brakes, at least in the front. They're great to work with, so they may be able to help out in getting something...

They ARE fast, and they DO have enough horsepower for the street. For track that's a different matter, but for the street what they've needed the most (at least in my experience) is more torque in the low to mid range rpms. The 2.5k-4.5k range of rpms just needs more beans when canyon carving...

The combo of white with yellow calipers looks pretty good. Keep in mind with the Eventuri, I had driven the car with it installed for about 100 miles before going to the dyno shop, so give the ECU some time to adjust to it. Your car looks good out there on the track!

Lotus Emira V8 in Testing & Other News

Manuals have always been the preferred setup for sports cars. Automatics have their place, but traditionally sports cars with manuals hold their value the most.

This is what inflation has done to the value of our dollar. Your $30,000 in 2006 is worth $47,589.14 today. Put another way, our $100k sports cars today would have cost $63,039.60 in 2006.

Lotus Emira V8 in Testing & Other News

Lotus should just stop wasting money on all kinds of things except what customers are buying. They should look at their own sales numbers for the Emira; the vast majority were for the V6 with manual trans. Contact Cosworth. They're a U.K. company and their engines are legendary. Have them...

    No side intake grilles?!

The way the aero is with the Emira, I honestly don't see how a bug is going to make it into the side vents. Maybe those who park their car outside might have possible issues with critters, or birds wanting to get in there? For me, the grill I would be most interested in is one for the exit...

Does your system adjust itself to intake and exhaust conditions? For example, with an Eventuri intake and titanium exhaust (which are not factory standard) will your system automatically adjust to it, or would it need data logging and sending the files to you for adjustment?

    No side intake grilles?!

Having just cleaned my Eventuri filter after a year, there was one feather and a piece of hay straw in it. No bugs which was interesting, because I regularly have to clean bugs off the front of the car and the windshield. Depending on how it's designed, a mesh grille would possibly cut down on...

Yes it's definitely worth it. Despite being a pain to clean the filter, the increase in power and torque can definitely be felt. It's a shame it isn't visible though, it's such a nice looking unit!

    📓 Journals Adding Lightness

I've had my Eventuri air intake for about a year now, and I decided to clean the filter. There's no easy way to do it. You have to remove the entire unit from the car, which involves pulling the connecting tube from the supercharger inlet and the Eventuri, and disconnecting the MAF sensor...

    Won't Start

Push the bottom of the Parking Brake button towards the dash to disengage. My first suspect would be the battery. Even if it charges up, it may be bad internally and not working properly. Have the dealer check the battery. That's a warranty item.

    Shift Knob Replacement

I've been thinking about making a wooden shift knob for awhile. I also don't like the hole on the back of the factory shift knob, so here's my idea on how to solve that and still have a set screw to hold the knob in position. Use a spring that's reasonably stiff, and compress it with a cap...
