Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

Thank you for the summary. What surprises me the most is the baseline stock number of 332 hp. My absolutely stock baseline was 369 which I got right after the 1,000 mile break-in. The pull after installing the Eventuri was 386 hp. The last pull a week ago with the JB4 was 391, which is...

So that's on an otherwise totally stock car? Do you have the dyno chart you can post? I'd like to see how the power curve developed.

Yes. This was with Map 1 and actual 91 octane gas. It looks like some or most of the people posting dynos of Map 1 still have 93 in the tank, which would allow Map 1 to operate right to its limit due to the extra headroom against knocking the 93 would have. I don't have 93 available so I...

Well I just got a notice from UPS that I'll have to pay the delivery driver $67.28 to receive the ti delete pipe I ordered from Aerie. Apparently this is due to the tariffs. Now I know why Aerie discounted it. It looks like they're trying to offset the effect of tariffs, so after the...

It's interesting that your charts are almost the opposite of mine. All the gains on mine tend to be below 4k rpm, while all yours really start to show above 4k. Do you have the 3rd cat delete?

What's your deal man? I'm posting actual dyno charts and weights, you're just "pretending" you know better. Just because you seem to think YOU know better, doesn't mean you actually do. Either pay to get dyno results yourself and post them up, or give it a rest.

No, not yet, however I was pleasantly surprised to get a shipping notice that they've already shipped the ti cat delete pipe! I've figured out a piping layout that would work, but I'm working on how to arrange 2 sports cats, 2 mufflers, and come up with a mounting loom that will work with the...

Did you see the dyno chart from the intake shootout that @GRP did? It shows hardly any gain, and all 4 aftermarket intakes within 3 hp of each other, which is almost the margin of error for a dynojet. For his test they put their car on the dyno and did a baseline pull, then switched from...

Was this a V6 or an i4? I didn't see any big gains on my V6. Map 1 is pretty subtle like you say, although there is a nice lift in torque at the lower rpms.

There's a difference between someone getting a dyno tune map done for their car while it's live on the dyno, and downloading a pre-built map into your ECU that hasn't been sitting on the dyno getting adjusted live. If you watched the video with mr.suntorytime's car being tuned, I believe it was...

    Aerie Titanium Exhaust V2

No hp gain, but a slight gain in torque at the low end of the rpm scale. This was with the 3rd cat still installed. Doing the 3rd cat delete would probably add even more torque, since it seems the factory exhaust system is quite restrictive.

When you compare what @Payam@BMS got on his dyno with the test car, I got nowhere near those results. I believe the test car had deleted the 3rd cat, which could possibly explain the big difference above 5k rpm, where every run I've had all the performance graph lines are pretty much the same...

When I first saw pictures of the JB4 unit, for some reason I just assumed the housing was plastic, but it's not. It's high-quality machined aluminum. Because of where it sits (I used the bracket from @mr.suntorytime ) which is in the heat flow pattern of engine bay heat rising up through the...

No. I've been running Map 1 exclusively since I got it activated. The ECU doesn't instantly switch modes, so I only did the test with Map 1. The comparison is to previous dyno runs there (same guy, same dyno) to give a relative comparison. Today was hot and humid, so not the best weather but...

Well just got back from the dyno, and here's the image I know people want to see, so I'll post it up now. Other stuff will come later. As you can see from the dyno (this is on a hub dyno), the hp increase was modest, about 6 hp compared to the dyno run after the Eventuri install, but the...

As much as I admire your seats, they are gorgeous, I'm setting my car up more for a street sports car than all-out track car. I'm never going to take mine to the track, and I'm not going to be doing track speeds on the street. At my age I just have to be realistic and accept that those days...

DIY: V6 Burger Motorsports JB4 Installation

I do it more as a service to the forum. I started doing this with the Eventuri when it first came out, because people were skeptical of the claims, so I got a dyno run to show on paper what I was experiencing. I knew it was adding power and torque, but it helped to have a number to show. This...

I sent my log file to Burger last night, so as soon as he returns an all-ok or an update, I'll do a quick 100 mile run-around then get a dyno run. Hopefully sometime next week if they have a slot open at the dyno shop.

Glad you worked out something for you. I think the OBD connection makes a difference, as I just got back from driving around an hour and a half, testing different speeds and drive modes. On map1 91 octane, the car seems to be running smoother than it does stock. Outside air temp was 89F...

I wasn't able to drive it yesterday, but tonight I'm going to go out and record a data log, then send that to Burger. If all's well or they update the tune, I'll update and then do a hundred mile run, then take it to the dyno shop, hopefully next week if I can get a slot for a dyno run.

Put a towel on top of the Eventuri, and underneath the bracket mount location, so if you accidentally drop a bolt (or socket), you won't go through the ordeal of having to retrieve it from down in the engine bay. ALSO, VERY important... do NOT remove both of the original bracket screws at the...

Emira JB4 Tuning Now Available for I4 & V6 Cars!

The engine bay gets really hot, and that's just stock from the factory. Adding more power and performance isn't going to make it cooler. I noticed how hot it really gets when I was adding heat reflect material under the trunk, since it gets so hot in the trunk. I thought it was mostly from...

EVO: BMW M2 v Porsche Boxster GTS v Lotus Emira v Alpine A110 v Ford Mustang

I don't even think this is journalism, more like opinionism which is ridiculously subjective. It's also almost fashionable in some circles nowadays, to poopoo the Emira as being not quite up to expectations like there is such a thing. It's a better, more finished and complete sports car than...

Well I got lucky and found the bolt. After removing the Eventuri I was able to see better. and it was sitting down in between two hoses, so I was able to retrieve it with a flexible magnet wand. I was finally able to get the bracket installed, but I'm pretty sure the socket that dropped went...
