I reckon the I4 will be faster than the V6 the day it rolls off the factory floor.

I wouldn't be one bit surprised if the AMG motor is full strength and the published power is just underrated by Lotus so the V6 guys can feel better about the 0-60 time (again, that they publish) being basically identical. That AMG motor is a friggin rocket.

I'd contact Lotus Cape Fear, Lotus Charlotte or Flow Lotus to see. Cape Fear has already had 2 test drive events, so I would be surprised if they held another, but you never know.

I would think it unlikely. The only direct-to-customer auto sales in the US are Tesla, and there are states that put up / still have ongoing legal battles with Tesla because the dealership model is so important stateside.

I was just lucky enough to have a 2nd test drive at Lotus Cape Fear. The first was for their soft grand opening a few months ago and then they just had another grand opening last week with another Emira on site. They will also be getting a demo unit per my understanding.

I got the last test drive of the night in. Didn't get much chance to mingle, as my wife and I had other obligations to get to. Thanks to Cape Fear Lotus for putting on a great event! I have to say, Nimbus is a very unique color. It gave me a rose gold / bronze vibe in the sunset.

So I have only received 1 email update directly from Lotus USA, which was on Aug 11, 2022, letting me know deliveries would be stalled until March 2023. I've not received an email from Lotus USA since then.... Am I alone here or are others in the same boat? I don't mind the delay to Q3 2023 so...

Great review that really captured much of my personal experience with ordering a car I'd never seen, driven, etc. I had many sleepless nights too. But... is he keeping his deposit or not? The ending seemed like a mixed message to me.
