I could, but it would mess with the theme of the set. I think the blue loses something when viewed on screen - the saturation increases, somewhat flattening the detail and tones.

Remember the days when you would check a second hand car especially the front end for tell-tale signs of wear & tear, in order to see if it had had some undisclosed accident damage repaired? It will be harder and harder to identify an "honest" car in future.

Hi everyone, making some good headway on image capture and reproduction now (as well as starting the Nimbus painting tonight). Below are photos of the first full-size proofs (roughly trimmed - ignore the border size), these are printed on the same stock as the final items, a 315gsm fine art...

Ooops - sorry! Look at it this way - every green has some blue in it, it's just matter of how much, and the bottom line is it's green, not blue.

Good to see people correctly calling it "turbo esprit" not the other way round...

You are right on the money there, this echoes my earlier assessment, DV is more akin to a very deep teal than a forest green. (as per my avatar and painting! :cool:)

To me it looks like the silver column to the side, which has a satin finish, is just creating an unusual reflection - you can see where it meets the ceiling in the reflection - agree it looks odd though!

Those chaps who "created" Dolly the sheep are only 20 mins from where I live, perhaps a spot of cloning is in order! But, seriously though, the plan after the 6 FE colours are complete and the print run is underway is to move on to commissions, mainly, but not exclusively, Lotus.

Call me old-fashioned (you wouldn't be the first!) I don't get the cost-benefit argument for PPF, etc. I've had lots of cars, they all got washed and polished and the occasional stone chip carefully touched up and, if it was large or deep, sanded smooth and polished. I can't see any vinyl film...

I can testify to old Porches and big bills! To be fair though, it has done 152k miles, 120k of those with me at the helm over the last 12 years. Nothing big has ever let go, original clutch did 100k miles, now getting a 7k suspension refresh including all components, bushes and a set of KW V3s...
