Interesting, but does that simple rubber trim really stop water from dripping in to the engine bay when the lid is opened? Seems like the most it would accomplish is to help guide water to the edges, but perhaps you can share if it has been in fact effective or not. Thanks

Not necessarily. I have a Receseng knob and their adapter is adjustable and keeps the knob very firmly in place. No set screw needed.

Yes, a 2" diameter would be nice with no set screw. The hole in the back bothers the heck out of me.

I never had noticed but went to check on mine and found that same edge scarring on my discs as well, but oddly it's on the front ones, not on the rear ones. There's a score on one section of the perimeter of the left and right disc. This make me suspect if they come from factory like this, but...
