wouldn’t this be the case with all cars though? I’ve never seen fluctuations like the Emira. I think they programmed the range display with a much shorter running average of fuel consumption than most cars.

LOL mine’s never been that extreme. However a couple weeks ago I drove 200kms to my brother’s after some spirited driving. It said range was 300km when I left home and 320km when I got to his place.

Yeah. Those Saturn panels are polymer based (plastic). The Emira panels are a fancy fibreglass. They won’t pop out.

This is true. The priorities of SUV buyers don’t align well with lotus’ core competencies. It may not have worked out either way.

I’m not against them selling SUVs and sedans. I get that’s where the money is. I just think Lotus SUVs and sedans should be the lightest and most engaging in the segment. The Eletre and Emeya might have done better if they stuck to that niche vs going head to head purely on luxury.

All good. I’ve had zero problems after 1 year and 5000 km, but others have not. It’s good you are doing the research and know some of the things to look for. Check for paint bubbling, door alignment, seal the ignition coils, etc.

Further to Benjh’s comment on the other thread, how important are these spec differences to you? That’s probably the main reason to pay for a 2025. Some people have had trouble, but for the most part the 2024s seem to be well sorted.

Liquidating returned cars through Auto100 was so short-sighted. I’m sure Lotus needed the money, but was it really worth the risk / damage to reputation? Many were known to be problem cars.

I wouldn’t pay an extra 16K for drivers aids and a model year newer.
