I agree that if you are the type of person who buys a new vehicle every 5 years or so, the vehicle reliability is not a big concern, but I really don't trust BMWs for long-term ownership.

And hey, it also has a bulletproof Toyota drivetrain, correct? :unsure: I've seen too many horror stories about people who by no-warranty BMWs, Mercedes, and VW vehicles. I keep my cars for at least 10 years, usually more, so German cars are out of the question.

It'd be nice to drive a manual and an automatic, as well as a touring and sport suspension. I guess I lost my chance to drive a sport suspension manual car. I may have to base my decision on one test drive and many comments and reviews.

I believe it does but it would certainly be more convenient if you had it in a place where a bottle with a loose cap or a cup with a lid and straw wouldn't spill easily.

This is especially true at night, although most of my night-driving was done when I was single and going out to clubs. Of all the current colors, I think the yellow is the most visible under all conditions. Still, dark verdant under an angled sun looks like a gemstone to me.

When the sun hits it, the color glows unlike any other. It reminds me of the Enkei wheels (for my MX5) I had powder epoxy coated. The base is called "super chrome" and is followed by a translucent blue polyurethane coat. Some people call it blue chrome or candy apple blue.

Yes, it seems as though the Dark Verdant accents the side profile of the Emira, only when the sun is illuminating the color and the profile. That may happen only during early morning and late afternoon. The color looks fantastic when this occurs, though.

I once rented a 2015 Corvette with a tinted mirror wrap. Believe me, that car got as much or more attention than the McLaren 570S I rented. And really, C7 Corvettes are fairly common.

I asked the guys in an Evora forum, what "stops" were off limits. The majority were perfectly okay with stopping at a Home Depot or grocery store. Most would NOT parallel park. They all parked away from other vehicles.

The good news is that for that extra money, we'll likely get a well-sorted car without the electronic glitches being experienced by many of the early-takers. And at 80 miles from the nearest dealership, that extra money may be well worth it in the long run.

Certainly, but I'm sure some people would rather have their Emira, one year or more earlier and are willing to pay more for that luxury.

My guess is that the 2.0 FEs will be offered to a certain number of people on the non-1.0 FE list, but those offered but who would prefer the base and lower price will have to wait, possibly for 6-12 months. Of course, allocation numbers will come into play.

When I placed my deposit, there was no such thing as an additional 700 FEs, so I don't technically fit into either category. It looks like 700 of those who placed deposits for the base cars will automatically be getting FEs.
