Funny… I had this exact post 1-2 months or so. It also surprised me until they confirmed that USA Emira is 298kw/400hp. Think Nova is the one that replied to me too. 😂

Yes, build date was end of August/beginning of Sept. Received my VIN July 16th 2024. VIN is 4068. So yes, been sitting for awhile is my guess

Well, that sucks. And yes…. Batteries will likely need replaced if they are just sitting for months. They will trickle to zero sitting. Also rotors can start to oxidize…. The dealership inspection and us being vigilant will be very important. Dealership too far from me to have issues that...

Who has done their own oil change on the Emira I4 /AMG? If so, can you post your process and experience In doing so? Tons of info on the V6 oil changes…..haven’t seen this on the AMG version.

Yeah…. My VIN is 4068…. So mine has also been sitting over there since beginning of September. It seems likely politics and marketing decisions are why they are sitting on the I4’s instead of shipping. And since I believe the dealer all the certs have been done….. it’s likely more marketing...

Yeah, thanks for the response. I did go with the QuickJack 5000TLX. Did the Maserati and the Mercedes easily with it. Just waiting on the Emira to arrive….. 😊

New to this thread…Myrtle Beach here. Where in the Carolinas is everybody from? Still waiting on my I4, but in the first batch to arrive in the USA supposedly late this month. It’s been a wait. 😩.

@EmiraFan….. yep, our cars were on the line just 4 away from each other. We will see if the late October arrival estimate is still correct. The wait gets harder as it gets closer for sure. 😂

If using a Quickjack 5000TLX , in another thread the issue of not being able to reach the from jack points due to the offset but instead using a front frame area that Lotus uses on its factory 6 point robot transport/lift. Your opinion for those of us with QuickJacks?

I am right here with ya….4068. So we are still in England. Funny they would send ones made after. But I think they want all V6’s delivered before the I4. I was told all certs for done by my dealer….. I mentioned that before.

In historical terms, Lotus used SE to mean Special Equipment.

If you don’t have a locked in order by this time…it’s not likely you will see it before the new year. I would call the dealer and ask about your allocation. They definitely should know and give you some sort of timeframe. Even it’s it 2nd quarter 2025…. At least you would know.

We all are speculating what Lotus might do and it’s half the fun. My guess, the “Base” Turbo will be 360hp, this will separate the SE from the base(Turbo). People seem to forget the FE I4 was special for Lotus enthusiasts and every spec which included the 400hp(at least for USA & China). I...

Yep, I did see the 416hp on the Chinese version of YouTube “BiliBili”…. That is where I got that number. Lol…. 😂. And I agree, a lot of this is marketing strategy. But it now seems more clear makes more sense. One just has to realize the FE was a bonus and not a “base” for the enthusiasts...

Yep, I think this article confirms what we all kinda thought. The Base will be 360hp and the SE will be 400hp. I just thought for USA market the SE would be 416hp or something to that effect. Also I feel the loaded FE will feel like a deal as inflation and other cost issues spike prices.

I mentioned in the last week or so, my dealer told me all the approvals have been completed for the I4 and expect the first ones to arrive beginning of October. However, the strike may change this timeline.

Yep, looks like USA & China I4 are the only ones with 400hp on the FE. FE’s will all be 23-24’ model years. I think the delays with Covid and supply chain, price constraints of inflation forced Lotus make alot of the decisions in these regards. Don’t think this path was their initial plan...
