Also separately, I had a play with the pre prod magma car on the stand. I know it's not the same thing with it being stationary, but the gearbox felt so nice. The car had about 4.5k miles on it, so I wonder if it needs a bit of "bedding in"? Who knows. But to reassure those that are worrying...

To bring this back to suspension a bit... Goodwood update: I had a great chat to Gavin and also Will, the engineer in charge of stability control calibration (and also the same chap that brought Harry the red Emira in his video) There are indeed 3 alignment set ups for each tyre and chassis...

The cup2 is your choice then, it's equivalent to the SC3. It makes no sense for lotus to offer the SC3 instead of the SS from the factory though. As useful as it would be for you, it would be far less useful the the other 90% of the world and emira drivers.

For all the negativity about the Goodyear SS tyre, it's by far one of the best uhp road tyres you can have for the emira. Unless you only drive in warm and dry conditions, the cup2s can be lethal. Anything cold and/ or wet and the cup2 tyres feel like driving on plastic. I'm sure some of you...

I've had both leather and alcantara on identical steering wheels in different Porsches in the past, personal preference but I really preferred the tactile feel of the alcantara. It did get matted with finger oils. God forbid you just ate some chicken wings without descaling the hands...

The understeer should be easy to tune out with a good alignment set up. My 911 was awful with understeering at the limit, especially in the wet when on the edge. A quick trip to the suspension specialist and all understeer was entirely gone, just with an alignment change - all within Porsche OE...

To be clear, adjustments within spec will never void warranty. The spec for adjustment is broad from the factory in which you can significantly change the characteristics of the car, without going over factory tolerances. Alignment will never void a warranty as technically a pothole can change...

Separately, I know it divides opinions but I actually think that's quite a cool steering wheel...
