Komotec working on first upgrades for Emira

I have seen those upgrades, it will be Öhlins coilovers and wing is very similar or may-be identical to GT4 racer’s. They will release also more carbon parts, but don’t know details. Wheels looked cool as well.

Boot hatch frame fills with water

Few comments as OP and who has encountered this problem. First, I drove the car in torrential rain for many km and it has been parked outside during heavy rain for long periods. There are no leaks into cabin or boot. Secondly, Komotec has not found exact spot where water is entering hatch...

V6 FE dyno results and weight

Komotec is working hard to release their offerings soon. Don’t know when and what comes first, but ithere will eventually be same categories as for other models. As myself, did lots of mods to my Exige, but Emira is for street use, so maybe start with suspension and then later moderate power...

V6 FE dyno results and weight

Thanks to nice people in Komotec I can share with you measurement data about my V6. It had done 1700 km and had 3/4 tank of fuel in it. As you can see, it delivers the power and slightly more torque than advertised figures (400 hp/420 nm). Weight was measured 1450 kg. When adjusted to 90% fuel...

Ice Grey leather seats , wear protection / upkeep

Corrently have 3 cars with white leather seats and I'm wearing jeans. Just never wear them when brand new, they should be washed before. Also moist jeans either from sweat or rain will leave marks. For protection have used: https://www.nasiol.com/nano-coating-for-leather-protection/ and this...

Boot hatch frame fills with water

Drain holes in hatch frame do not solve a problem, because if there is water inside of unprotected glassfibre structure osmosis process will cause paint blistering. My car is off from road till spring, by then hopefully definitive solution is found. I know already another car with same issue.

Emira Issues - from final production cars

Lower part of the hatch collects water due to its design and this then drips into engine compartement when hatch is opened. Thats another issue. I though it rains often enough in UK so they would have noticed it. Could also be that production version of the hatch was tested only in Atacama desert.

Emira Issues - from final production cars

Rear hatch of my car will be replaced, because its frame fills with water when raining. Diagnosed as problem with glueing composite panels together. Its not possible to check this visually. When car has seen some rain, then its easy as you will hear how water flows inside of hatch frame when its...

    Exige meets Emira

Same for me. I drive my Exige about once a month and its never fails to give me excitement like when I drove it out of showroom 9 years ago. After long weekend I'm looking forward to put it back in garage and relax. Emira should do it.

Will you ignore the recommended service intervals?

First olichange @1700 km is already done. From here service and oil once a year, as I don’t do that many km’s. Done same with my V6 Exige.

One that is different. Grey car is dirty after 1000+ miles road trip with lots of rain on the way. Nimbus hides dirt well, it was in need of good wash. DV is with 0 km. Not only on photo, but also in real life its almoust black under some light conditions.

What a change of topic ! :D I’m not a fan of any particular brand, most companies with history have made at least one great drivers car during their existance, some more some less. Porsche have made many, no doubt. My Exige is far from perfect, lots of rattling, cabin noise is deafening at high...

I hope that Emira will be trouble free based on experience with Exige. Zero problems and it is also early car from start of production. Done 70 k. km, mostly on track and pushing hard. And its tuned from 350 to 460 hp. Sure, never skimped on (preventive) maintenance. BTW. someone asked about...

Not much to say about brakes, oher than they are excellent. Initial bite is strong, but not grabby and there is plenty of adjustability in braking power, so its possible to balance on limit so that ABS will not activate . Brakes are sure enough for occasional track use. My car has touring spec...

Yes standard sport seats in GTS. Like I said Emira seats first feel firm and not supportive, but they get better with use. Probably alcantara seats are better in terms of lateral support.

To finish with description of electronics, few words about audio system. I am no audiophile, its my non-educated opinion. But I listen music all the time in cars. Sound is clear and high-mid frequencies are perfect. There is not much bass like Bose gives in Porsche. I have listened Burmeister...
