- For context, I had originally seen that base price at launch was < £60k and that the V6 would be available first, followed by the AMG 4-pot, so assumed I could get a fun, V6 manual track-ready Emira for around £70k depending on spec. Now that's looking like £95k.

V6 for me - and the availability of the manual transmission is the only reason I am in the market for the Emira (I already have several superb cars with DCT but miss a good manual transmission since I sold my Porsche 996). My deposit is down!

Is there any difference putting your deposit down direct with Lotus via the website vs via a dealer? I did mine direct via Lotus and received a response that I should look forward to configuring my car in the Autumn. Any advantages / disadvantages anyone's aware of to doing it either way?
