This whole post was filled with great info - thanks for sharing! I remember the Matt Windle podcast interview and I've been interested in the car ever since. Edit: though, hilariously, the Emira comfort feature Windle calls out is that the windshield wipers work flawlessly. Umm... not so much...

Emira GT4? (maybe without oiling the track this time) Eletre hill run? Evija again? Maybe a Type 133? Emira in a non-FE color?

At least one thing is certain: Lotus won’t be able to screw up the EPA certification for emissions! Presumably they’ll come up with other reasons for it being late.

Hoping it looks more “baby Evija” than that illustration. But yeah weight will be key. And no way it makes 2025 launch!

The tan looks great, but I wish there had been an option to do black alcantara just on the center seat and back panels.

Has anyone with black, red, or ice leather seen the same sagging? The only pictures I can remember are from the tan.

As has been previously mentioned, the C8Z is in a completely different universe. And given they're trading hands over $200k that makes perfect sense. (yes I know you can get on a 5+year waitlist at MM or Ciocca for MSRP, good luck with that)

Osmium is another one where it would be nice if you could just specify your rear LOTUS badging to be black, without having to get the black roof. (yes I know you can do this after-the-fact, but it would be nice if they could just build it to spec)

Atlantis Blue was the only true unknown. Lame choices by Lotus to add 4 more neutrals and 2 more blues. So many better options! That said, I think Meridian with tan leather will look very classy.

I think an inch is pretty aggressive; I'd just like the gap to match front/rear. The configurator isn't as slammed as the Lotus homepage but is still quite a bit lower than reality, and the gap is consistent front to back. The production cars seem to sit 5-10mm higher at the front.

I gotta say the main reaction I get to my Emira is laughter and disbelief. "Wait, didn't you put down a deposit like 2 YEARS ago? And you still don't have the car?!?!?" (head shaking and muffled laughter follows)

Not to sidetrack this thread too much, but those fall 2022 US test drive cars may not have been representative. Remember most of the preproduction cars had threaded shock bodies. Here's a recent production car photo:

Totally agree with this. Any vinyl shop can add black to the roof over factory paint, but you can't go the other way. I'm actually quite surprised how popular the upper black pack is so far.

This is the best post since @TomE getting hired as official Customer Service Liason, reporting directly to Windle a couple of years ago.

Given that Lotus's business plan involves selling 50k Eletre's a year, let's hope there are some folks out there that love the thing, because that's what keeps the company alive, not the trickle of Emiras produced in the UK.
