Exige V6 did it in 7:53, Evora 400 in 7:59. Unfortunately it looks like SportAuto isnt going to test the Emira. To be honest I doubt that it would be much faster then the Evora 400, looking at the same engine, same power and heavier weight. Might even be a challenge to get below the 8min mark.

Even the track focused exige Sport 410 was quiet a bit slower on Hockenheim than the GT4 and M2 CS, despite weighing 250-350kg less than the other two. Care to elaborate? Its the first direct comparison on a track with laptimes that I saw. Fastestlaptimes.com also doesnt have recorded any laptimes for the i4…?

Wow this is very disappointing … even if the tyres take away a second or a bit more, the V6 is really slow. 4 seconds slower on this small track in comparison to a GT4 is huge. Just cant get my head around this bad laptimes of the V6.

Nice, really hope they test the Emira. how do you know it took you 26sec from gabntry to bridge? You stated it was Touristenfahrten and not a trackday, so there is no driving through AFAIK.

No mate this is just BTG (bridge to gate/gantry), not the full Lap. Add another 30 to 40 seconds for the full Lap. I expect the Emira to be just shy under 8min for the full Lap in the SportAuto Supertest. The Evora 400 did it in 7:59. Check it out here...

Hmmm okay but this 40k comparison is basically pointless, because there are a lot of countrys where you basically earn next to nothing. And if you earn 40k annually in the US I highly doubt that you can (should) afford an Emira…

Gt4 are sold out. The only ones you get new are sitting around and are massively overpriced. even used GT4s are more expensive than new Emira, at least in switzerland, where a few new Emiras are available. I drove both cars and Emira was remarkably more fun on the streets. May be the other way...

What utter nonsense. Emira feels plenty quick, pulls hard in first and second and the supercharger is very noticable. The only dissappointing thing about the Emira is its tracktimes, which - if you look at it objectively - doesnt matter for road driving (still bugs me though🤦‍♂️)

Swiss customer payed around 123k for their FE. The ones on autoscout.ch for around 130k dont sell at all. A lot of cars in switzerland cost A LOT more than in the US.

Hmmm… the ring is quiet gentle to the brakes considering other GP tracks. If your brakes were „ok“ on something like the Hockenheimring, there is no need to upgrade for the NOS.

Like I said, Supra has 340 HP in Europe (afaik we dont get the 390 HP version due to regulations I guess) and has been tested by car magazins on the dyno with an output 350 HP.

The Supra sold in europe has 340 HP and already beat the Emira (by only 0.02s though) on track with same driver and the supra wasnt even on cup tires (Autobild Sportscars). There is no way around it. Yeah Emira is fun to drive and looks the business! Fast? Not so much… When even a 300 HP Cayman...

Its a shame the Supra, even with 340 hp (!) is faster both in a straight line as well as on the track…

Nope, I was driving the 718 Gt4 right the day after I drove the emira on the same roads. Emira felt like it pulled harder at least in first and second and was much more fun on public roads. You cant even wring out that second gear in the GT4 without going to jail… Made me completely forgot the...
