I guess I just don't understand why they couldn't offer FE's in NA to the first 700 customers to place their deposits in NA etc. If 300 pass on it then offer to those 701-1000. Still doesn't make sense to me but I guess it's something to do with the arrangements which are a bit confusing to me.

At the end of the day it may be that they see their “top” dealers as their customers versus the end consumer and gave some of them bigger allocations. However I staunchly disagree with this when it means that some customers went into their dealership assuming priority was in order of deposits...

In Canada I think we pay delivery twice as I heard they go to Lotus USA and then to the local dealer in Canada, add 13% sales tax, finally add a new 20% luxry tax about to kick in sometime this year (that‘s a huge amount and reason to get delivery ASAP for some of us) 😅.

It’s not the 500 allocation upped to 700 for year one. I never have and don‘t have issue with delivery year and could care less. It’s the promise of FE spec that was widely communicated as available to all regardless of deposit date (to that point) and then potentially waiting up to 7 months...
