I see comments that people are being asked to lock in specs soon - but I thought Lotus had promised we could see cars in all the colours before having to lock the specs?

Thanks Tom - not going via a dealer as none close enough, so hoping to deal direct with Hethel for everything.

Any idea how this will work if you are part exchanging a vehicle? I live 5 mins from Hethel so that would be my preferred collection point.

If you have time can I see both red and yellow lettering WITHOUT the stripe as comparison

Scott Walker said it is taken apart and completely rebuilt etc - suspect someone like @TomE may know more....

I think they do quite a bit more than that according to what Scott Walker explained at Hethel event!

Because it is the engine they know well and have worked with in previous cars I suspect, so perfectly mated to the Lotus models

Very unlikely, don't think that AMG engine has ever been offered with manual transmission in any make of car.

@TomE - do you know how accurate these reports of production delays are? apologies for asking you but as Lotus don't seem to like updating deposit paying customers I had hope you might know someone who you can ask. As if now October onwards rather than "Spring" for early deposit holders that is...

From what I understand and I live 3 miles away from Hethel, and going on the amount of money spent building new facilities at Hethel they are going to continue using it even after Wuhan completed, it is an additional facility not a replacement facility.

Indeed, perhaps we should all send an email querying the lack of updates, quite a few members on here, so if we all emailed they may get the point!

To be fair its not just the Dutch market, as posted here (https://www.emiraforum.com/threads/what-happened-to-adas.259/page-2#post-6759) all the specs for the Malaysian market state ADAS still for FE cars. And I don't know about you, but the only place I have heard about it not being includes...

Agreed, would be nice if Lotus actually officially told the customers like us who have paid deposits that ADAS isn't included, as the only place we read about it not being included is here on the forum. Especially as initial press release event they used it as one of the selling points!

But using it as a daily driver and having to say reverse out of a tight driveway and using technology such as "rear cross-traffic alert" doesn't make someone a bad driver does it, with the lack of rear visibility in car like this. A car costing a lot of money in 2021/22 when tech such as this is...

as above "the production seats will have more bolstering and a different interior fill material" so hopefully this is just an issue with the demo car

Yes and I think one of them only chose it as a base colour as was planning to fully wrap the car in a different colour

The original poll created asking for colours has votes for all colours including Shadow Grey - https://www.emiraforum.com/threads/what-colour-have-you-ordered.196/ - so it could just be people who voted on first poll haven't bothered to vote again on the same question

@TomE - think you need to do your own branding - perhaps #FROMTHETOM down the side of each car rather than LOTUS, because to be fair we have all recevied much more useful information from you than we have from Lotus!
