Removing exposed shifter mesh on V6 manual

Removing exposed shifter mesh on V6 manual

I’ll have to have a proper look when I get mine When I did the test drive, personally I thought the mesh did obstruct the view of the mechanism and it’s a cool feature so why not show it in all its glory?

Removing exposed shifter mesh on V6 manual

Have any current Emira owners tried removing the mesh around the exposed gear mechanism yet and how easy is it to do? I feel like it distracts from the visual a bit, so if easy to remove, I would definitely do it. Can’t imagine that would effect any warranty’s etc ……. Thanks

My Emira has now been fully PPF'd and Ceramic Coated - I love it!

Looks great. Very tempted to do this on my shadow grey Emira. Can I ask what the price was for the full stealth ppf and ceramic coating if you don’t mind sharing?

Hi Chadder, can you share the name of the company in Guildford that did it? Looks awesome. Do you know how much weight this adds to the car?

Emiras advertised for sale on other sites

Seems to be 2 new Emiras a day at the moment. Difficult to work out who the sellers are and why they are proceeding through checkout if they don’t want the car. Presumably most are flippers, but seems a risk buying an £80k car for say a £2k profit after dealer markups. I’m sure there are a...

Checkout imminent, having doubts, used Vantage? Send help

Had the same dilemma. However, the test drive of the vantage left me a bit numb and whilst the vantage looks great, in my opinion, not a patch on the Emira. I’m fact, I genuinely don’t think there are many cars out there at any price bracket which look as good as the Emira! The Aston interior...

Paint Protection Film (PPF) and Wrap for your Emira

Has anyone had their car PPF’d through Bell and Covills recommended partner? They are called all that gleams based in Guildford. Would appreciate any feedback the good and the bad as i was thinking of using them, for a track PPF and Cermaic coat and detail, simply as they came recommended...

Thanks, looks very similar to my garage. Do you know the width of yours inside? Do you get out the driver or passenger door?

Awesome, think this with some tram lines on the floor and some tennis balls hanging from the ceiling should do it 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Great, thanks for all the info. Seems people get in with a lot less space than I have which is promising. I’ll still be sh***** it when I first do it

Narrow Single Garage parking aids/sensors or recommendations

No, unfortunately nothing we can do to increase the width. It’s brick but the neighbours garage is the other side :( I don’t actually know if it’s going to be possible yet. Getting in is physically possible as I have 11cm but once in, I then have 2900 once inside. The Emira is 1895 mirrors...

Narrow Single Garage parking aids/sensors or recommendations

Thanks. Yes, think reversing half way with mirrors down is a good idea. I did see a hack which sounded simple and useful. Put tram lines (coloured duck tape) on both sides in line with the gaps, which lead out your garage about a meter. Then reverse in inline with those tram lines. Seems...

Narrow Single Garage parking aids/sensors or recommendations

Hi All, Hoping any people with a narrow single garage can help. I have a very narrow entry to my garage (2130mm), so it will just fit with 5cm each side with Emira mirrors in!! It opens up to 2900 mm once in, so hopefully enough room to allow the driver out if I drive in at a slight angle...

Shadow Grey Lotus Emira Photo Thread

Think it was a fair comment. Not sure what the aggression was for. Think Shadow will be rare and desirable and glad the show car didn’t shine.

📓 Journals Picked up my stunning Magma Red Lotus Emira

I Totally agree. I genuinely can’t think of many cars (If any) at ANY price point that beat the Emira on looks. Think aesthetically it’s almost perfect from every angle!

    Hello from a newb

Hmmm yes, I hadn’t taken the thickness of doors into account when thinking about my garage! I have a 2130mm wide single garage door which I think will give about 5mm each side with mirrors up and then it opens up to 2900mm inside. Hoped this would be enough to drive in and at least get the...

    Hello from a newb

Sad to hear. Out of interest how wide is your garage? Mine is a single garage too and I’m worried I may face the same problem. I know I can get it in, but opening the door and getting out could be very tight.

Yes, should have added. Did that on an average of 8000 miles a year which is what I’d guess if do. Would daily all through summer and drive as much as possible in winter

Hi All, Wondered if people feel the below is accurate estimate on the Emira Manual FE. Just trying to do some kind of budgeting as got lots of stuff coming up house purchase/ wedding etc I will be buying cash and likely keeping for 3 years or so. Purchase price: £83,215 (includes black pack...

Having done some rough calculations, if you were to hold onto an Emira for 2-3 years and the Aston, I actually think they would be quite similar. My estimate is around £10 per year loss on each car? free servicing on the Aston helps. Aston/Emira will be my first BIG car purchase so want to get...

That’s my thoughts too. It doesn’t make sense. If I had a 2 + year wait, for a couple of grand over asking you’d surely jump at it.

I’d actually welcome a price increase, will make our FE cars better value and keep prices up and actually reward early adopters. As long as the deposit dates are taken into account of course 😬

I'm in - the buyers thread

I’m 70% in. Awesome car and heart says Emira, just need a few other test drives as comparions to confirm. Seems our friends across the pond are more positive than us moaning brits and seem mainly IN. Possibly as the car will be rarer over there too and the FE is actually limited.

    Emira alternatives

Drove my mates boxter 4.0 up in the Pennines and was an awesome car and had loads of fun. But it still doesn’t pull at my heart strings the same way the Emira does. Think the emira is the only car I’d consider buying new .
