Theres no emira on display in the London showroom.

maybe they removed it to give "Just Stop Oil" one less excuse to attack the store with orange paint

Lotus launching Type 136 bike on 1 Nov

Looks an awful lot similar to Cervelo S5 that front end... a very successful design anyway

Emiras advertised for sale on other sites

Ignoring state of economy currently... Lotus do seem to have "reasonable" residuals when looking at other performance brands, they drop, but not half as sharply as others... for now the badge still carries some good clout. However, I suspect it was the massive front page pieces around the UK...

    Factory tour - 16 Aug 2023

Weather wise..... very 50/50... sometimes April can be a wash out, others lovely and warm... I've still not worked out a pattern for it in all my years on this pokey island.... Tour wise, I think if your looking at the Classic Team Lotus side as well, the only consideration I would advise -...

    Factory tour - 16 Aug 2023

Small world Nick, I was there too but guess we got split off at the beginning as I was with Neil most the time in CTL. - That’s the nose of my blue Elise in your pic :-D Tour is great, I’d say the Classic Team Lotus is miles ahead as the experience to do…. Done factory, CTL and Emira track...

More price news in the UK due today

really hope they do sort it for you, but would also understand if you just can't get that bitter taste off even if they did... this kind of thing really bugs me, had it on cars of past, where sure the car has niggles, but is overall solid... but when their PEOPLE and attitude to the customer...

Eletre spotted on inside at British GP

Saw a green euro plated Eletre going through Towcester on the British GP weekend. If not for the lovely green paint work, doubt it would have caught my attention. Definitely didn't have people stopping in the street like some other classic Lotus might

Lotus Emira Production Life vs. EU Ban on Gas Engines

Because I live under a rock, I've only just started catching up on Guy Martin's series on Ch4 about energy production in UK, episode 1 literally spells out that "green EV energy" for the masses or whatever its marketed as, is either decades away or just near plain impossible. Can't help but...

I'm out - the cancellations thread

Life is funny... always liked Lotus... pulled in by lure of Emira... delays etc, yadda yadda... wore me down for now... so flipped on it's head and getting a glorious "analogue" Elise S3... I think that could actually be a better "my first Lotus" care anyway... I'll sit waiting for more spicy...

    First Edition vs Base Spec

This is probably the truest comment I’ve read on this forum, these things are thoroughbreds before anything else, designed like art yes, but for driving first and foremost

Emiras advertised for sale on other sites

Come on… that’s plain dishonest altering the car colour like that... I worry for whoever buys off someone so sloppy

Emiras advertised for sale on other sites

you've certainly got a point re the number of FE... I'd guess they have gone over whatever they initially intended, thus over saturated things a bit, kind of loses some of its mystique and allure... obviously still a lovely car, but surely another reason people flocked to it, the exclusivity

    Lotus Emira Track Experience

price up to £199 for taste of Lotus and track time down about 10 minutes overall... but the new Dynamic Emira session sounds ok, still, the price of a few very, very good coffees... on the subject of tea and biscuits, I feel they missed a trick not having Lotus Biscoff available when I went...

V6 FE dyno results and weight

we are also getting excited about some more stripped out variants that "could" be released in future shedding some weight, the real final swan song Emira's... Cups/GTs or whatever they might be called... :D

    Rear cabin storage weight limit

you would have to assume... to have an effective chasm of such low support just behind the seats would be a bit of a worry...! Sorry if missed anywhere else, but if there is such a tight limit on luggage weight there, was there one set for the seats/passengers...?

    Lotus Emira Track Experience

Yes, think balanced and transferable is best way to describe power output. My BMW even with x-drive and about 410bhp feels easier to displace than the Emira

    Lotus Emira Track Experience

As best as I can... eyes were not glued to the speedometer the whole time..., just went by what I felt and heard from the car to judge it's limits... and I'll try remember back to Sport mode setting.... Hethel test track I suppose is fairly low-mid speed style layout (there was a temporary...

    Lotus Emira Track Experience

Hi all - did not realise how full this thread was already... Back from Lotus Driver Academy day at Hethel this weekend, so thought if this feedback helps even one person... Now, first things first, about me - I would NOT claim to be any kind of driving hot shot at all, so I hope this review...

Anyone thinking twice about buying Emira?

sorry, haven't seen any - but in a M440i currently (yes the piggy face one), but can vouch for the 3.0 engine and xdrive being incredibly potent all things considered, so image with the weight saving on M240, these would be great fun. Sadly only thing with BMW is you have to get over the looks...

Anyone thinking twice about buying Emira?

Lucky lucky guy, there was a Noble dealership where I lived growing up, and just always been fascinated with them for their raw sportscar appeal and rarity. You're pretty much right there, good friend works at McLaren and admitted the first 12c's had some issues, they did iron those out for...

those Evora's from what I've seen/heard have a more organic exhaust note, one of the perks of slightly older cars which had less restrictions imposed on them..? Have to admit, they (like most Lotus to be fair) hold a nice timeless design to them as well... and they're available if you look hard...

    Updated Configurator

Well spotted... running as good as the configurator ever did I guess. Wonder if those Base editions/new colours will be up soon, given the quoted Q3 2023 arrival and how long a wait can be. Can't help but feel that's optimistic after MW comments on Harry's Garage interview other day though

Hello chaps and chapesses, from England

Hi all, recently added myself to the waiting list (how long to wait will never know) for V6 manual FE. Based in Beds, UK. Would be both, first Lotus, first British built car and V6 for me. Having grown up not a million miles from Hethel, and going to the site regularly back in my younger days...
