I think the colour balance in that photo is off. I saw the car drive past in normal daylight and it looked very close to Audi Nardo Grey. I mentioned it to my Lotus host, who agreed and said that was deliberate. It does vary in different lighting conditions and pictures for Audis too:

If you buy a used Lotus from a dealer you can ask them to give you a printout of the ECU stats. I got my local dealer to do a pre-purchase inspection on my privately bought GT430 and it was included in their report.

It should go out after a few seconds. Has the battery been changed recently? If you disconnect it too soon after turning off the ignition then the ECU can get confused. You usually need to leave the ignition off for 20-30 mins to let all the systems settle before disconnecting. A few OBD2...
