It’s not a looker but it is very aero efficient. The electric part is removable. But £20k means it’s more expensive than a Hope-Lotus HBT track bike and comparable to one of the iconic Olympic winning Type 108s (if you can find any of the six bikes for sale)...

Anyone who bought a UK car got a copy of the warranty with their contract and sale documentation (or a link to download it). I think agents in the UK are getting more sensitive about non-OEM mods because they are having difficult times with Lotus HQ on warranty work, even on unmodified cars...

I think so on Autotrader. The specs and photos are all different, so they look like they are physical cars.

I've got notifications set up for Emiras being added to Pistonheads Classifieds. Yesterday's daily alert had FIVE newly-listed, of which 3 are zero mileage cars with Lotus Silverstone and 2 have only 150 miles and are with Rybrook Lotus Birmingham. I assume all of them are cancelled orders...

Have a read of the journal threads. Some with issues but plenty without. I was at a Lotus owners meet two weeks ago. Three Emira owners attending and all said they’d had 1000s of trouble free miles. They are all members on here.

It's from early 2022. Several of the cars have VPxxx stickers so are validation prototype cars. Lotus issued a collection of stock images for press use. That picture is in the Alamy portfolio dated Feb 2022...

OK, so I think your opportunity to take legal action for late delivery is fairly limited. As you say, better that the dealer does the right thing, refunds you and offers the slot to someone else than get into a legal wrangle.

Did the deposit contract include a delivery date? In the UK the delivery timing in the deposit T&Cs was only indicative and subject to change.

RMS is another car forum. That’s the only Zinc pic he posted. It was an event for Bell & Colvill customers, so there may be so more pics on other Lotus forums. I’ll have a look. Some forum members on here may have attended too?

Poor battery capacity and/or voltage can cause odd electrical issues. Worth putting the battery on a charger or conditioner overnight as a first step. There have been some reports of cars diagnosed with wiring loom issues. There have usually been multiple symptoms and no obvious pattern...

The V6 gearbox oil is every 4 years or 36k miles, spark plugs are every 54k miles. It doesn't explain the big AMG versus Lotus price difference for the i4.

Each M139 engine is hand-built by one AMG technician. Part of AMG's "One Man, One Engine" program. AMG have said every engine has a plaque with the signature of the technician that built it. I think is hidden away on the side, rather than visible on the top.

We were lucky with the weather today and had a great turnout of 25 Lotus cars from across the decades. Also a few former Lotus owners with their Alpines and Supras. Really good to meet Mike and catch up with Jon and John, 3 Emira owners and forum members. Interesting to hear about their...
