What did you do to your Emira today?

Went for a 200 miles early morning/late morning drive. Early morning, lovely, little traffic, could give it some beans. Late morning, lots of traffic, not so much fun
Then got home and spent 2hrs washing it(I hate that part). Tucked away in the garage now, as off across the pond for a long holiday.

Led a group drive of 10 cars in NY! We were driving from 6am to 6pm! What a blast.

And, before the trip I had a chance to install @mr.suntorytime bigger knob and wow! Such a cool modification. Feels more comfortable in the hand and is nicely weighted.

Embarrassingly, it took me a second to notice that I was not looking at blue and red Emiras next to each other on the right....

I took the car back to the shop, once again. This time it's for replacing the exhaust valve and to try and fix the squeaking noise coming from the front hood. Also, I'll have it PPF'd and ceramic coated. And I don't know when I'll be able to see her again...

Met up with another dozen or so Lotus at the Essex Lotus Drivers Club Breakfast meet at Barleylands. Stuart and I in our V6 Emiras there.
Some lovely cars and great company.
Thanks to Stuart again for organising.

I fitted a short shift gear knob made from carbon fiber
Super easy, looks great and i can now put my phone on charge without constantly knocking the switches which was super frustrating.
IMHO this should have been the way the car came from the factory, looks so OEM.

Hi,
The knob comes with 3 adapters the largest one needs to be widened by 2mm to fit to the bottom of the shank of the shaft once the original knob assembly is removed (one t20 torx screw)
Simply drill out and then fit the new knob I applied a little m3 double sided tape to the shaft to hold in position (it’s solid rock but 100 % reversible)
See link

Cheers

Thanks for the info.
I have replaced mine.
But havn't come up with a way to make it more secure.
I'll keep fiddling till I make it work.

My Emira is back home today! And (I don't know if to say this out loud, you know...) no CEL at the moment! This feels so good. The squeaking noise is there, but much more subtle, barely noticeable. The tech said it's "normal", and it's the activation of lights or something coming from inside the dashboard whenever it initializes what's needed to operate them. He said some cars are more noisy than others but nothing is wearing out. Oh and I must say I'm pretty satisfied with the full PPF (headlights too) and the ceramic coating. The car looks stunning, I'm glad I pulled the trigger. Now the next things on my list: 1) fit the feather light tow hook and its camera mount from GRP 2) install the wireless phone charger from Cilent as soon as it gets here 3) install the ottocast wireless usb adapter

4) Drive it like you stole it :)

Did my second oil change of the season.
Won't be long before it goes into storage though.

Congrats on getting your Emira back and hope you start enjoying it again particularly w/o Cels. Why are you installing the ottocast wireless adapter?
