I am officially out. I have requested a refund for my deposit. After having the opportunity to purchase a gated manual R8 V10, learning after almost 2 years of waiting I did not qualify for FE2.0 (v6) and it would be another 18 months at least, and hearing of a wide variety of continued issues...

It is an awesome car! For the longest time my dream was that I would end up in a 90s NSX, but options and opinions change! I am glad you have settled on what suits you best, very exciting!

Both of these are kind of true, but probably less extreme than either! I do think the Audi has a less stand-out silhouette, but lots of people definitely compliment it and rubberneck. Leaning out the window while driving with phones and thumbs ups, pictures while parked, looking inside...

I appreciate the kind words! You're absolutely right about power figures... especially in a world of Hellcats and Teslas, the Emira is incredibly engaging. It is definitely a steering sensation that is hard to emulate elsewhere unless you go with another more raw Lotus or something of the like...

The V10 is supposedly much more reliable (and ironically easy to work on) than the V8. Apparently was not designed by Audi alone, if at all, and was used in late model Gallardos (5.2, not 5.0) and Huracans.... the only engine warrantied for the 24 hours of Le Mans, so that must mean something...

Well I managed to close the deal and the car was delivered to me yesterday! R8 V10 with a gated manual. So much car, an absolute blast to drive. Way more than I am capable of exploiting right now in any conditions, and more than will ever be fully exploitable on streets by basically anyone...

Does that plate say that on purpose, or is that a happy coincidence? lol

Apologies, I didn't mean to spark an argument here, my point was just that we are all super blessed to be in this sort of position! Different money methods work for different conditions and lifestyles!
