A couple Qs to figure out how this would go down. When they sold you one did you have to get any initial programming done to lock it to the car? Did you ever get that new ECU installed before the lemoning? If someone bought one from a dealer can they send it directly to you for bench tuning...

I got the error on Monday ironically starting it up to go to the dealer for a different service. They have me scheduled for the latest update as well. Ill report back when I get the car back hopefully next week.

Screws are cheap and easy to engineer. Latches are fiddly and more money. Plus theres nothing in there to do if you arent planning on busting out tools anyways.

The point of ppf is that its sacrificial and can be reapplied if damaged. This doesn't have that. There's no way this is completely impervious to damage so it sounds like its going to add extra pita when that damage happens.
