Your second option is to just install the 3rd cat first, turn on the car and toggle the sport / track setting to see if the valve controller is even needed.
Personally, I'm satisfied with just the 3rd cat delete.
This make sense. The dyno chart for map 1 makes most of the power from 5k rpm and up, while map2 with 93 octane looks proper.l from 3.8k-redline
The thing that bugged me the most about map one is the HP and TQ dip.
I tried installing the 3rd cat delete tonight but failed. The OEM Y pipe flange where the 3rd cat delete flange would not sit flush properly. Upon further inspection, the inside of the 3rd cat delete (flange side isn't perfectly round so it wasn't sitting flush no matter how much I tried shimmy...
What's the deal with the HP and Tq dip around 3.8k RPM on the 91 octane tune? The 93 Octane looks very linear and smooth while the 91 could use more tuning.
Interesting they they would put a V8 instead of sourcing a new transmission and going with forge internals. Seems like a low hanging fruit instead of going with the v8 route.
Go with Grundy $1300/year. The only stipulation is that you have a primary vehicle and that it's garaged.
5000 miles, $100 deductible, stated value at 110k
