Having only had front engine rear drive cars, and never driven a mid engine car what can I expect in regards to handling?

Just saw the car this morning and all I can say is wow, photos just don't do it justice. I am definitely going for the manual, the shift action in sensational..... still can't decide what colour, but the shadow gray looks great in the sun with the blue flecks.
