The used market will be awash with them almost immediately... or wait a year (which in Lotus terms is nothing) and pick up a 'used' bargain with 1.5k miles on the clock and one boring owner who has finished having his mid-life crisis.
Longest I waited for a car was an Ariel Nomad and Ariel were great at keeping me informed and had good communication. I waited over two years for that one! Oh an I also have an A110. Neither of those are 'mainstream', so my expectations are pretty realistic.
As for Lotus being 'like it always...
I cancelled my order because my experience with Lotus under Chinese management is a sack of muck.
A dealer network that is nothing more than a sales window. No support and communication hidden behind a wall of plastic customer services representatives all reading from a script and saying...

If you don't want to hear your car, or the noise is intrusive, then...
I’m aware that not even the press have them yet. I was more enquiring whether anyone had any concrete information from Lotus because at the FoS on Thursday they seemed a bit ‘vague’ to say the least.
I have seen so many figures banded around as to the weight of the 4 cylinder model, most posted years ago without any concrete sources.
It's very tricky to discover exactly what they were weighing and under what circumstances.
Some manufacturer vehicle weights are 'wet weight', some 'dry weight'...
