I really don't know much on track stuff, but I'm picking things up. LOL. I looked up the wheel motion ratio. There is a mention of how that is related to how stiff the car feels while driving. Normally ... I don't like sports suspensions on a street car. But the Emira doesn't feel bad to...
Here is a video of a pro driver in my car. He beats my time by 7 seconds. Plus he can do more. He wanted to give me an example that I could relate to.
He said the car needs way more camber. Basically only 1/3 of the tire is on the ground on some turns.
On suspension stiffness, a lot of...
The Ferodo 1.11 feel good to me. A strong initial bite. Then nice feel.
I ran the Cayman 981 in the morning, then the Lotus in the afternoon. A hot Florida day. I had a passenger in the afternoon and still edged out a PB for that track.
The Cayman has a stock suspension, but Sports Plus...
I just pointed someone from facebook to this post.
Just a quick summary, I did NOT use the supplied filter that shipped with the Alpines. I tried the filter on the first side. There was not much volume. Basically a failure. On the second side I "forgot" the filter. It has a lot more...
I'm not giving up on the Emira for the track yet. But I did get a 2014 Porsche Cayman for a second track car to use this summer in Chicago. The Emira is in Miami.
On the Emira, I now have Ferodo 1.11s on the front with Rotora rotors from EBC. Then Rotora H8s on the back. I ran this setup...
On the hard braking zones, I do have the feeling of a little slide. The coach I mentioned calls it your "stop acceleration point". So right from throttle right to hard brake. Then ease up into the braking zone to maintain a bit of trail brake. Work into braking as late as possible. I tend to...
I thought this was interesting. My coach in Miami thought the brakes in my Emira were not enough soon enough. He said his old Caymen was setup like your Boxter. He went there the first time last month and ripped 1:37, so the next level in driving. But with a newer Cayman.
I thought my Emira...
This is the one I use.

Just to clarify, that picture was the OEM GY tires. Those lasted 2.5 days. The Continentals lasted much longer. With much more aggressive driving.
For what it's worth, this is the pro. Before letting air out. On the Continentals. With Aggressive pads and lighter front rotors. Same setup...
Interesting. The pro coach wanted them much less than I had them. I start at 26/29. They heat to 35-38. They had them heating to 33-34.
My buddy did this the Emira was "so sticky" even with endurance 200 TW tires.
Sebring - hot days. 2:37.
Rotora Front rotors. Rotora H8 Pads.
Continental Extreme Contact Force 200 TW tires.
Max negative camber alignment (not much available thought).
