Oh, they activated the Scorpion tracker while I was there so I can see it get trucked to me.

And it comes with a user handbook and a black leather with yellow stitch slipcase.

Yep, I got a text from the dealer. Mine ends in 13912.

When did you submit your build? I submitted in mid February but after repeated emails to Lotus I still do not have a VIN. Last email response said VINs are assigned and communicated after they are built and loaded for shipment. Strange.

Hi all! Just got mine, well ahead of schedule!

05/01/23: placed deposit for V6 Manual - far down the list, was told to expect 2025 delivery at the time & never expected to get an FE

07/12/24: discovered (purely by chance!) that my dealer had an "orphan" FE2 that was quite close to my spec on site, so I signed the paperwork on the spot

07/19/24: paid the dealer & took my car home

It's far closer to perfection than I expected!

Congrats on finally getting your car! How soon before we get to see your Signature SV104s mounted on the car? Really looking forward to seeing them and getting your feedback on the setup.

@T6061 likely three weeks. One week for the car to get here but I also have a crazy work schedule for the beginning of August so I won't even be able to start the teardown.

When they took your Feb factory order did they give you an anticipated build month? For example “feb deposit with expected June build”?

Nope. I picked up late Wednesday afternoon.

They did not give me this info. I had to piece together what I could from others here. I got my VIN through the contact form on the Lotus website and used NOVA's tracking sheet to figure out when it arrived. I've only received two unsolicited calls from my dealership this entire time. When I ordered and when it arrived. The dealership was otherwise great to deal with.

I bought from Indiana and I live in Maryland. The dealer in Indiana charged me MD sales tax (and provided documentation of it). It turns out MD does not accept this (I guess because the tax was paid to Indiana), so I had to pay the tax again when I went to register the car in MD. Then, I'll apply for the dealer to refund me the tax they charged me, so I'm not double-taxed.

Just mentioning this to others buying from out of state -- it can add a hassle if the dealer adds on your own state's sales tax, in cases where your state does not accept it that way.

- they charged you the sales tax rate for your local area not IN but didn't go through a 3rd party to process the sales tax for MD?

I had a friend that bought a car somewhere on the east coast and they charged him the sales tax rate where he lives. When he registered, the DMV calculated the local sales tax and it matched. He didn't have to pay anything extra or pay double and get a refund from the dealer

- did you ask if they would not make you pay sales tax and then you pay it locally when registered?

I bought a truck in TX and had it shipped, I paid only the price of the truck and when I registered it, I then paid the full sales tax to the DMV.
