Red starter button cover

Looking good, just bought the enamel paint yellow and black to do the same. And also the alcantara gaitor with yellow stitches is on the way for delivery.

Planning to color the seat stripes in yellow with leather paint.

Looking forward to your finished central console with yellow ones done

Reinstalled the centre panel with yellow switch and with the new yellow stitched gaiter.

I’m pretty happy with his it’s starting to look.

I really like this. I wish they would have just went with yellow from the factory. Matched to exterior paint color would have been a cool option too. Perhaps they'll do that on Chapman spec cars.

Looks great but did the aluminum trim always have the scratch on the right side? Or maybe it is a hair
Small scratch… not sure where/when from but I’m pretty sure it won’t be the last one!

What did you paint your knob with? Any more pics?
I used this paint. It goes on quite thin so I did about 6 coats and it came out well.

I think it’s a good match for the callipers however the seat belts are a yellowier / deeper shade. So ideally I’d have potentially used a different shade.

That is so sad that it was a welded piece... cheap design aspect!
I agree it looks cheap and it could have been a great option to have something better like a Lambo Huracan. I would remove it if I was sure it wouldn't leave some damage showing. I looked at the link to the other buttons but it is just the button and not the cover.

awesome...i like what you did... i got a hethel yellow so....

btw, do anyone know how i can put a yellow paint or tape over the center marker on my steering wheel ? is there specific paint or sticker /tape i can use to change the black to yellow ?

I would imagine any mod like this wouldn’t look as good as having stitched, I hope I’m wrong. Have you considered having the steering wheel removed and taking it to be professionally done? I wonder what that would cost.

Someone Jimblob actually painted their alcantara steering wheel to have the yellow centerline stripe! Post for reference

Edit: I totally missed the fact it was also Jimblob!

From what I've read you can use non marking gaffer's tape.
