I can relate to the "new and exciting" part, and to be honest I was a little worried about the novelty wearing off, but so far it hasn't. I actually find using the paddles a challenge in itself, and I mean that in a good way. I've never had a car with a similar set up, and with eight gears, the lower ones of which the car storms through in no time, it's taken a fair bit of practice to be able to keep the car in the optimum rev range on a spirited drive. It's a different experience for sure, but one I'm enjoying!
