Why is the drivers side window a magnifying glass?

[seriously]

I’ve had other two door cars and never has my left arm gotten so hot so quickly in the sun. I noticed this pretty soon after buying the car.

Does anyone now why the side window cooks your forearm so fast?

Is it the angle of the window or some lack of UV? I can see there is some blue UV tint in the glass.

It’s a total non-issue but wondering if anyone knows.

I didn't notice it but my wife was sensitive to the heat coming in the side glass. I'm not a tint guy but I had a very light, Xpel nano-ceramic tint installed (side windows and on the glass between the cabin and the engine bay) with 70% light transmission which seems to have helped. It really doesn't look much darker than a standard factory tint but it helps with the heat. Wife is happy...
